History

Established in 1997.

Darla Laughlin, owner of Lakeside Gardens, started Lakeside Gardens to be a model of senior care in Whatcom County. The goal was to provide full senior care in a homelike non institutionalized setting. We believe we've accomplished that goal.

Meet the Business Owner: Darla L.

Darla Laughlin has a passion and heart for the elderly, especially those suffering with dementia. She is one of the 1st persons, university trained in the 1980's, in community based care as the natural and proper replacement for institutional care. She brings all this training and skill to her work on a daily basis for the benefit for her residents under her care.
