    I hate to give a scathing review in such a way, but this needs to be a warning to everyone…read moreconsidering allowing Fix & Sell to handle their electronics. My Iphone 13 Pro Max was cracked from April 2024- October 2024. It was not cracked NEARLY as much as it is in the picture I provided. I got my phone fixed at Fix & Sell around early October, when I called for a estimate they told me it was going to cost about 180 dollars, when I brought it the following day they charged me 240 dollars to fix my cell phone. The woman insisted that she would not fix my phone unless she replaced my cameras and that is where the supposed extra expense came from. In this moment I did not mind because when I was calling for estimates it was about the same price. They told me it would take about 3 hours, later that day I came and got it. The woman made me sign a strange waiver saying that this was final, she was very illusive as to why and also extremely rude. She also would not answer my concerns as to why my phone smelled like it was burning, telling me thats a dumb question. The following day I was on my way out of the house when I dropped my phone in my room on carpet... later that day I realize the phone is beginning to crack. I found this extremely strange because prior to my phone cracking in April I dropped my phone all types of ways and it took a lot for the back to crack. I was so upset, and I immediately returned to Fix and Sell because it had not been 24 hours and now my phone is cracked?!! They told me there was absolutely no compensation, and that they would not fix my phone again. The picture below is my phone deteriorating after 3 months. I would also like to add that I did drop my phone, so that is why the piece is missing. BUT the phone was was cracking and glitching up until when I dropped it late Nov. I also found out Fix & Sell orders fake Apple parts which are made of plastic, and that is why my phone cracked so easily. Oh! And that metal/burning smell took weeks to go away. Please do not trust them with electronics, the service was awful and I'll never go again.

I have now been helped by Average Joe on three occasions, all for separate issues and different devices. My most recent visit was today after I had to go back to Best Buys three times after I bought my new IPad. The "Geek Squad" was finally able to transfer most of my data, including emails and files after three visits, but could not transfer the texts that I had before I bought the IPad. Text are an essential part of my business and being able to look at my clients' history is vital. Joe was able to figure out that it was a syncing problem caused by an encryption issue. Joe went to battle with it and did in a couple of hours, what the "Geek Squad" was unable to do in what seemed to be an eternity across three visits. Joe is resourceful, tenacious and thorough. While I was there today, an elderly couple came in and I knew they would be in good hands. I know because I sent my 84 year old mother to them when I was out of town, when she had a meltdown on her phone. They were able to go through the whole boot up of the phone with her even though my mother didn't know her passwords, usernames, etc. They were able to explain things to her in a way that she could understand and they were extremely patient. I think that is one of the best service qualities they have, they are genuinely patient and helpful. Those are qualities that are hard to find these days. I recommend Average Joe 100% on every level that I can think of. I have written very few reviews in my days, but this is one that is a pleasure to pen. - Luis B

    Disappointed and dissatisfied, my laptop was stuck on automatic repair. The screen went completely…read moreblack, and I couldn't reset it or access recovery. After searching for a nearby repair store, I found this one. I took it in on a Thursday afternoon. The employee there was very professional and told me the repair would take about three days. I paid the initial service fee, and three days later, I received a call saying my laptop was ready. When I went to pick it up, I learned that it would have to be wiped clean. This meant I would lose all my saved documents since they had done a hard reset. I understood that, but when I arrived, I couldn't use the touchpad to move my mouse. (On the day I picked up my laptop, the "boss" was there.) He initially told me to use my wireless mouse. I told him I had one but didn't use it. He seemed slightly irritated because I was waiting around after paying for my fixed laptop, which now had an issue I didn't have before. I asked if I should walk around the store, and he said he would call me when it was ready. That was on a Sunday. Four days later, on Thursday, I went back when they called to say it was fixed. The employee there wanted to make sure I could log in and use the touchpad, so I left thinking I was satisfied. When I got home to prepare for a team meeting, I noticed the camera wouldn't work. I called the store, received no answer, but someone texted me back, and I decided to take my laptop back while heading to the store. During the trip, I received a call from the employee, who said his boss told him to call me. I explained that the camera wasn't working. The employee said they hadn't done anything to the hardware or software, just "whitewashed" it. When I mentioned that the camera software might have been wiped out, he responded with something smart. I told him to tell his boss that I'm not happy with the service and that I'd be writing a review. The employer then said, "Have a good day, ma'am," and hung up on me. Now immediately after, I received a text message, which I am attaching for review. I felt the employer was rude and insensitive. I wasn't being unreasonable; I was just expressing my concern, and he hung up on me.

    I went to this store about five months ago, January 2026, because my screen needed repair. They…read moreasked me if I wanted the low quality screen, the good quality screen (comparable to Apple but much cheaper) or the Apple screen. I said I wanted the middle option. That is what I paid for. As soon as I got my phone back (4 hours later- keep this in mind for later in the story), I knew something was wrong. It was shutting off all the time, the brightness didn't work correctly, and my front camera was awful quality. I am somewhat shy and don't like confrontation and I do not want to be THAT person that complains and makes an employee's day harder... so I just told myself to live with it and did not go back and complain. Fast forward to today, May 15th 2026. I broke my screen again and took it somewhere else. When the employee at the other store looked at my phone, he automatically said "you have gotten this replaced before?" because he could tell right off the bat that my screen was not the quality it should have been, had they really given me that "high quality" screen. He starts repairing it and tells me that uBreakiFix did not even put the main screws back in my phone! I have been walking around for FIVE MONTHS without the correct screws in my phone because they screwed it up (pun not intended). He also said he commonly has complaints of people coming from the uBreakiFix store, leaving with a phone more messed up than when they started. At the new store, he finished my phone in no joke five minutes so I am not sure why uBreakiFix needed four hours... to do the wrong thing. Long story short, do not go here and make the same mistake I did. Absolutely not worth the money or time.
