The most interesting things they have to offer appear to be placed in highlighted locations around the room and they really are beautiful pieces. Compared to the quality and prices of vintage in London, everything in Reign is a complete bargain, with most items in great condition and ranging from £5-£30. And if you have a specific style in mind, for example, a nice tweed, the the owner lady definitely has some kind of mental catalog of her stock. So if you feel overwhelmed, she can pick some stuff out for you if she has an idea of what you're looking for. It's not just a tiny two up, two down on Sydney Street either, it's a huge, L-shaped building on Vine Street. Today being Halloween, I walked in to find the foyer piled high with amazing fancy dress costumes, wigs and masks. It was walking around the corner and seeing the racks of retro skirts, shirts, blouses, jumpers, jackets, coats and yup - cowboy boots - that made my heart truly skip a beat though. There was no boots in my size but the good news is, they are open 7 days a week and get new stock in every single day. Hallelujah. The staff are lovely too and whilst I was there they played 'Jolene' AND 'I Want Candy.' Oh and the stock is reasonably priced too, guaranteeing I'll go back in about, erm, 24 hours!

Yesterday I happened upon a perfectly respectable little vintage store hidden away on an an…read moreotherwise abandoned and un-trafficked corner of Soho. Encouraged by an easel sign on the busy Broadwick Street, I headed down the quiet Ingestre Place to the open door (and arms) of Soho Vintage. The tiny space was filled with a plethora of styles. From an antique Victorian skirt to the 80s off-the-shoulder sweatshirts that are all the rage right now, Soho Vintage represented all. The prices were a bit on the dear side but, considering its prime location in Soho, not surprisingly so. If you find something you absolutely must have, a little light haggling might work for you here, since the shop is so small - rue the fact that those vintage boots are £35 and you might get them for £30. Overall, this proved to be a solid vintage store with a wide variety of items (at a variety of price ranges) that belied the shop's size.
