The staff is excellent, she never had a teacher who didn't connect with her on a personal level and she always received top-notch personal attention. Her development both interpersonally with her classmates ("friends" in the parlance of Goddard) and her readiness for kindergarten was amazing. She was so well prepared that during her placement test for the public school kindergarten she currently attends the teacher giving the test came back after a few minutes and said: "Well that was the quickest test ever. Your daughter already knows everything she needs for Kindergarten." And it is not just the staff. Goddard attracts great kids and does a great job of teaching them. Every day when I dropped off and picked up my daughters I was surrounded by "friends" who would be just as excited to see me as they were my little one. It really is a great community of learners who are nurtured to do their best. I would completely recommend it as the finest daycare (honestly it is more a school than a daycare) in Rock Hill that I have run across and anyone who wants their child to have a successful start in life should seriously consider sending their child there.

Students have numerous opportunities to take Honors, AP, and college level classes. SCS students' SAT and ACT test averages are above national, state, and local averages. The elementary teachers are amazing. They challenge my kids but also love them. My elementary student is working well above grade level in reading and math. I am so thankful for this school!

This is a small school, and the faculty know everyone and their kids here, which is refreshing compared to a larger school. They also don't give homework, which my kids and I love not having that eat up our afternoons for no reason. They claim to teach a regular curriculum but with an artsy twist, making the learning fun and engaging. As far as how much they actually live up to that claim, my older one indicates that they tend to be lacking in that department. Still, I think we prefer it here to your standard public school.

We've been at Primrose LW for just over 2 years now. My son has been attending since he was 3…read moremonths old. We've been in 5 different (age range) classrooms and have had an amazing experience in each one. (Young infants, older infants, young tots, older tots, and Early preschool) My son loves his teachers and his friends. They've always done hands on lesson plans, even in the young infant room. He's learned so much from being here and I have to praise the staff for that! I'm also grateful that they're willing to do the "messy" activities with the kids, ie paint, water, markers, etc that I would personally have a conniption with, at home, at his age. I've noticed, the older he's gotten, the more difficult it is to get him to "want" to go home in the evenings at pick up, solely because he enjoys his school so much. And that's a huge testament to the environment at Primrose. And while tuition can be a tough pill to swallow, I do believe the cost does go towards ensuring a high quality staff, safety standards, and learning environment. They also must test each year to see if they have learned the required material in order to be passed to the next grade, so grades alone dont pass them. They go to Chapel and also are encouraged to play sports, band, and participate in the fine arts competition each year which is a state wide chirstian school event. All the teachers are Christian men and women, and certified. The principal is also the pastor of the Church at the same location and is a wonderful man. the field trips are so much better than public school especially at the high school level. they have their own charter bus so no uncomfortable yellow bus trips. They often have other family events like cookouts and trips to see Christmas lights. I am so glad we took our child out the publc schools around here.
