This Lakeland store isn't half as nice as the old one.
The old one had a charm that reflected that of Lakeland's products, while the move to St David's has made it so much more impersonal and commercial looking, especially with its big glass front.
It also doesn't have the same clear layout that it had when it was spread out across multiple floors. It's much harder to find what you're looking for when it's all thrown together.
As much as I love Lakeland and all the funky and clever kitchen gadgets they sell, this particular store doesn't quite cut it. You're still pretty much guaranteed to find something awesome (although perhaps not everything you see in the catalogue) but the experience of browsing isn't as enjoyable as it should be. If you're new to Lakeland, you'll probably be excited by all the wonderful things they sell here, but anyone who's shopped in other Lakeland branches will find that this store lacks the personality of those in other cities. read more
