We've come a few times and have always been able to find parking which is really cool considering that this park is actually in a residential area. There are swings, basketball court, grassy field for soccer or something. They also have a pavilion with picnic tables for birthday parties or meetings. There is only one bathroom which closes at 5PM which is a downside but I always just have my babes use the restroom before we come.

We go for special events, the Christmas lights are impeccable every year, and each year they change something or add something new to keep it interesting but still familiar. They have adult beverages as well as stuff for kids, in the center of it all they have lights that react to music and you can sit on a bench or stand with the family and enjoy some beautiful music while watching a light display follow the tune. The staff are always helpful and kind, and everything seems clean and orderly, whoever's in charge of this event does an amazing job! As for Turtle Bay in of itself, it's a great place to just go and hang out with the family or some friends. I haven't gotten to see the animals yet I hope to one day. Most of the time I just walked the Park a few times and enjoy the safe clean scenery. And who doesn't love crossing the sundial bridge?

There are 3 trail options, the longest one 2 1/4 miles. Tip: do watch out for goose droppings as they can be found on the walkways from time to time.

River Splash is an enclosed space right next to the Anderson River Park parking lot on Hazel Drive…read more Inside the enclosed space are picnic tables and benches (two different shaded areas), and a few lounge seats with umbrellas randomly situated around the splash pad. There's also a drinking water fountain, and a restroom building with 4 pretty large and clean all-gender restrooms. Outside the enclosed area, the parking lot has several porta potties. And there are soccer fields and basketball courts right next to the water park, as well as large fields of grass, great for picnicking while also enjoying the splash pad. But be aware, there are no vending machines and no food/drinks on site (unless they have some sort of special event here). So come prepared with your own snacks. Relief from the heat! That's what this splash pad is all about. Of course the creative element, different types of fountains, and timing for each makes it fun for the kids to run around. There's even a pail in the middle that fills with water, then dumps it out for a giant splash to drench those underneath. But the splash pad is not just for kids. I ran through several times to cool down on this hot summer day in Anderson. With the 100+ degree weather all day and into the night, I'm not surprised they are open late, till 10pm. It looks pretty plain overall, but that's the beauty of it, you get wet, you cool off, you don't have to get involved with any fancy equipment... and if you go at night after dark, maybe you get to enjoy some colorful lighting as well. All of this free of cost, I think that's a pretty good deal.

This place has a very cool bike obstacle course. They have 2 different levels. We walked to see the water and I seen a fish jump out of the water. There is a lot of shade while we were walking. I did go in to the art and gift shop and the drawing was fantastic. I was talking to the lady that works there and she said they change every month a different artist so do check them out. I would come back to this park and recommend anyone in the Redding area to go.

It was scenic, there's lots of different lakes that dot the area. It's really pretty. People come here for boating, swimming, and hiking up to the waterfalls. Theres also water sports and camping in the summer months.

Wonderful views of the mountains while you travel around a healthy looking pond and creek surrounded by native greenery. This park has access roads to adjacent neighborhoods which is such a great feature for them. I like to walk here and watch the sunsets, or after a rain - which brings the color and maybe a large rainbow which I have experienced!
