It's a small store where you can get drinks and food items like hoagies, which is one of their big sellers from what I understand. They also offer hot items like footlong chili dogs. The owner greats you with a smile. The hoagie which you will see is packed with meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, and comes with a packet of dressing. These are premade daily every morning, but you can request one to be made. The prices they charge are very reasonable, if you are in the area and want something good, check out Modern Market. So my catfish was soggy, the fries and onion rings. But I imagine in the restaurant itself these things are perfect, as the flavor was THERE! Two is that the jerk wing dinner came with 5 wings. I don't know if it's just me because I'm a big back or if others would feel the same, but I want probably 8 wings. We just ordered it to share so it was fine but I would have been sad if it was all I ordered. I loved the Mac and cheese it had a little funk to it, my husband wasn't a fan, but as the fatty I am, and someone who makes a mean Mac and cheese also, I can say it was yummy! Hubby did however adore the red beans and rice. All of the food is just comforting and yummy. Would definitely recommend to others!! & Will order again, maybe next time we go in person!

Since moving here, I've tried kielbasa from several places, including Murazzi's and Rossi's Market, but Schiff's is by far the best. Their smoked, fresh, cheddar, and jalapeño kielbasa are incredibly flavorful and taste exceptionally fresh. Their hot food bar also serves delicious homemade-style meals every day, and their seafood tent sale around the holidays is fantastic. Schiff's is a must-visit for fresh, flavorful food!

And, while there are many meat shops in the Scranton area, my family's choice for kielbasa has always been Schiff's even though it's about 20 miles from their home. Now, having moved away from Pennsylvania decades ago, I haven't been able to find kielbasa that is as good as that from Schiff's from my childhood memories. So, during a recent trip "back home", I stopped by Schiff's to stock up on kielbasa. Our daughter also requested that we pick up its necessary accompaniment, horseradish. My family loves both the regular white horseradish (spicier) and the red one that is prepared with beets. Schiff's also has an excellent selection of other meats: a deli with sliced meats, cheeses, and specialty salads; fresh fruits and vegetables; ethnic foods such as pirogies; and more.
