What can I say about this pub that Facebook hasn't already done?
I can say for sure that the current management have done a sterling job of running a tight ship, and are always happy to mix with their regular clientele.
Live music is always good there, along with the occasional visit from members of the sundowners, who have the odd jam session of a weekend to entertain the locals.
Even though the pub is small, (not as small as its neighbours at the plasterers arms), it does have the space for a pool table, dart board, Juke box and double sided bar. Which makes it a comfortable yet cozy place to spend an evening or two, enjoying ales and music until home time rears its sometimes unwanted self.
The pub is situated just off the main high street in Hoylake, but is a mere stones throw from the promenade, so you can enjoy a lovely view along with fish and chips, before your evening drink.
Hopefully those who see this review can stop on by, and give the place a little try. read more
