Cute boutique beachfront retreat that is dog friendly. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from…read moreour King Studio w/ kitchenette and balcony. You are only a short walk from restaurants and the beach. It is not a fancy place, but the open balcony to sit outside and listen to the waves while smelling the fresh air is worth it. I really appreciated the kind gesture of putting a birthday card and local chocolates on the bed (it made me feel truly special, thank you!). The French Press and coffee grounds were such a nice touch! Bed and pillows were comfy. Sitting outside on the balcony to watch the waves was enjoyable. Down below our balcony are cozy fire pits with chairs. The chairs were occupied most of the time, so we didn't sit by the fire... but we had our dogs with us too. TV was good, just wish it was bigger. Room was clean. Breakfast was subpar. The area to serve yourself and eat felt crowded as well. The shower in our room had good water pressure but the shower drain was clogged which causes it to pool up anytime we used it. Sink was fine. Screen door had a hole near the handle. Rooms felt closer than I would like. Hallway to get to room felt narrow. I believe we had two different neighbors across the hall during our stay. The second set of guests (both adults and children) were not very considerate with noise, especially during the evening and early morning hours. Of course, this isn't something the Coho can always control, but it did impact the peaceful atmosphere at times. Overall though, the Coho itself was wonderful, and with a little more mindfulness from fellow guests, the experience could be perfect. This is a great option for coastal views. Prices are okay. I would come back here again.

This was our second time staying at the Coho Lodge and it will be our last. It was sh*tty in a…read moreliteral sense. The main issue is that there was an extremely loud, unceasing mechanical noise come from the ducts right outside our room (#72). When I asked reception about changing rooms, I was told that the hotel was completely booked and there was nothing they could do. This didn't leave us with any option but to stay the night. We got very little sleep, not just because of the unrelenting noise ALL NIGHT LONG, but because the mattress was oddly hard and lumpy. My partner who does not have back issues woke up in excruciating pain. Now, one of the nicest parts about this hotel is the oceanfront location. However, even that was ruined for us. Our room led directly out to a grassy area overlooking the sea. We walked out there at dusk to watch the sunset, only since the light was dim, we stepped into a pile of dog shi*t several feet away from the door. That really sums it up - what was supposed to be a brief romantic getaway to the coast turned into a hot, steaming turd. This was hands down the most hellacious hotel stay of my life. If you choose to stay here, good luck - I sincerely hope you have a better experience.

We picked the week to come when the atmospheric river hit! But that didn't stop us going out the second it stopped raining for 5 minutes. The beds are soft and there is a balcony overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The rooms have a fireplace for when it's cold like it is the last 2 days. No beautiful sunsets to post but lots of high waves! Breakfast is brought to your room. Limited menu of items from granola and berries, Greek yogurt, fruit juice, hard boiled eggs, bagels ( not toasted or warm) and coffee cake. The rooms have a tv, microwave and refrigerator along with a coffee maker. The sound of the waves and the fresh (feels like 32) air relaxes you immediately. We come twice a year on our birthdays March and October and it's usually great weather! Love this place.

They look nice, but it makes you wonder what architects and/ or interior decorators are thinking these days in terms of space and design. Getting around the room felt like one of those slide puzzles from years ago. Where you slide a piece to one side in order to move another piece in. It was tight, but still comfortable. Well, with one exception. I was wondering why the chairs were weighted to that extreme, and then it hit me, literally. I stubbed my toes no less than 10 times while there. The weight is to keep you from throwing them off the balcony. Ha ha. The people that work there are always cool and they are dog friendly. Can't wait to go back.

This is a perfectly reasonable hotel if your needs are mostly to have a place to sleep while you…read moreenjoy Lincoln City and the Oregon coast. We did not utilize a majority of the amenities at the hotel, including the WiFi, fire pits, pool, or restaurant. Pros: The location of the hotel is excellent. It is far enough from Highway 101 that the traffic is not disruptive, but close enough that amenities and activities in Lincoln City are easily accessible. The view of the beach from our room was excellent, and beach access (via several flights of stairs) was convenient. Our room door was equip with a deadbolt, chain lock, and lock in the doorknob. For the most part, the room was clean and quiet, and the mattress and pillows were comfortable. Parking was convenient. Cons: The furniture in the room was not particularly comfortable. The furnishings were either outdated or lacking. The TV was difficult to use. Hand soap for the bathroom was not made available (but, "facial soap" was). The toilet and the sink in the bathroom both leaked/ran after use. Concerns: Our room was not ready and available to us at check-in time. When arriving to our room, after being asked to wait in the lobby, the room smelled strongly of cleaning solutions. During our inspection of the bed, the linens were obviously fresh and clean, but they were covered in hair (like, the laundry facilities they use for housekeeping aren't totally clean). These experiences dropped my rating from 4 stars to 3.

She was the one that booked the room and asked if I would like to join her in a weekend getaway. When she first arrived, she noticed some damage in the room. She took pictures and had someone from the office send someone to check it out to make sure we didn't get charged for the damages. We did take advantage of the indoor pool on our 2nd day of the stay. The hot tub did have a heavy chlorine smell, but it still felt good to soak in it. From where I sat in the hot tub, I could see an out of order sign on either the sauna or steam room. I didn't check it out. MIST restaurant is walking distance of hotel, which is convenient. The beds were super tall for me. I'm only 5 foot tall, and I had to do a running jump to get in bed! My friend that is about 5'9ish, said the bed was even tall for her. Other than that, there wasn't anything that stood out with this stay, so the next time I'm in Lincoln City, probably check out other hotels in the area.

Absolutely beautiful Inn by the beach in the Historic Taft District…read more Siletz Bay is super easy to access. The rooms are dog friendly--they provide bowl, a towel, treats, waste baggies, and sheets for your furry friend. Their Pet Area is adorable. With a fire hydrant for those of us with boy doggos lol Our room was above the breezeway. We had a view of the bay. Had a comfy fireplace. Could open the window--that salty sea air was much needed for this land-locked family! They have in-shower toiletries in pump dispensers. Plus actual hand soap and lotion. Mini fridge with good size freezer that worked! Microwave and large screen TV. Plus coffee maker in room. They have coin operated laundry on site. $1.25/wash $1.25/dry. Quarters can be exchanged in the lobby. Cookies are nightly in lobby 5-7pm Continental bfast was 8-10am. Nice selection: oatmeal with toppings, yogurt, fresh fruits, mini donuts+muffins, bagels w/strawberry or regular cream cheese (and toaster), string cheese, power packs of dried fruits to take on the go, individual cereals with white or chocolate milk, coffee and tea, a water bottle fill station. They also have beach blankets and beach bonfire blankets to borrow. They have a fire pit area with loungers and area to cook crab too. As well as hose stations to rinse off the sandy feets. The customer service here is AMAZING. You're treated like family instead of just a guest. Just be aware the lobby is not 24hrs. So if you need things, gotta take care of it before they close at 9/10pm. The location is ideal for walking around the Taft District. We admired all the adorable cottages along the way. We much preferred walking to places and leaving our vehicle parked was a bonus. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. In fact, we might be planning another stay for our 25th anniversary! Job well done Looking Glass! You have our stamp of approval. Love this place and the Oregon Coast.

They accommodated my request to help with my stay, and the person at the front desk even remembered me when I checked in! They have a covered parking area which I very much appreciated in the rain. The lobby is clean and has a modern but welcoming vibe. I LOVED my room. I booked the Nautica suite and it was so lovely. The very large jetted tub overlooking the ocean was breathtaking. The room has a mini-fridge and a microwave. They have a great little sink for filling big water bottles, making tea, etc. no trying to fill the coffee pot in the bathroom sink. The room was also impeccably clean. Rooms that aren't fully cleaned can really put me off about a place. Not here. They seem to have high standards for everything they do here-- and everyone they hire. A gentleman who was from housekeeping even walked me to the elevator when I got turned around as I went to check out. He noticed my hands were full and hit the button for the lobby for me. As I was writing this review, I got a phone call. I had forgotten my favorite lunch box in the fridge! I hadn't gotten terribly far, so I still have time to go back. If you're on the fence, book it. One more neat thing: I got a way better rate booking directly with Starfish Manor. It shocked me, but it bears mentioning. I almost always use Expedia, but while I was looking for more room info on booking, I was delighted to find this. I will 100% be back. I recommend this highly. Surprisingly affordable and so well appointed.
