We stayed here for one night on the way up to Scotland. The room we were given was wonderful (room 3) with a big window looking across to Lake Windermere and a four poster bed. There was a selection of DVDs to watch if you wished and a couple of books in the room if you hadn't brought your own. The staff were welcoming and the breakfast offered various cooked options as well as cereals, fruit etc. The coffee wasn't the best but it was drinkable. There was a bar at reception and a lovely garden. Very short walk down to the lakeside and above the hotel another easy walk with good views. Definitely recommend. read more
