Everytime I go back there's more deals to be had. When I was unfortunately in an accident, I took the bike in to be looked over, and the maintenance repairs cost be 11 euros (including re-taping my handlebars). I think it wouldn't normallly wouldn't be so cheap - maybe taking pity on me.

This Corte Inglés was recently renovated and expanded to have a fantastic "gastronomic zone" that has multiple areas dedicated to different areas of Spanish gastronomy (bakery, seafood, wines, etc.) bu also has mini-restaurants offering a variety of speciality dishes (i.e. Imanol Vasque pinxos franchise) with sit-down areas. This is a place to experience and enjoy. The rest of the Corte Inglés are literally floors and layers of high-end boutiques and dedicated areas for clothing, bags, shoes, etc. From international luxury brands like Gucci, Prada, Etro, but also Spanish brands like Purificación García, Emilio Tucci, etc.

Madrid's flagship store beats New York's, barely…read more Having left our beloved Zante V1/V2s in the US before our trip to Spain, made an urgent pit stop to Madrid's NB store on Calle Gran Via. Store was trendy, with mostly bilingual (English) staff who were much more receptive and helpful than their NYC 5th Avenue Store. Found the Zante V2s, but unfortunately only in one color, and missing the occasional half-size. Ended up taking home the V2 Breathe (also in one color); all prices were full retail. No custom sneaker lab a la NYC. Unless plan is to go warehousing, probably better off to buy online. Or fly to Boston/Brighton and get them at significant markdowns at the NB Headquarters store. Interesting cafe at the back of the store. US locations should take notice!
