We went in to this store looking for two specific wines. One we had purchased there before. We've spent a lot of money in this store and I'd have to be desperate to go back. We asked for the one we knew they had previously. Instead of simply saying we don't carry it; Jan laid into my mom about how she must have been the only one to ever buy it and they couldn't even give that stuff away, they can't be expected to carry stuff that doesn't sell. ... she kept on going! My mom simply said ok and walked to me. The other lady, Melissa, was very nice and came over to help my mom with other options. She seemed embarrassed by Jan's response. She even apologized. Meanwhile, I asked if I was looking at the whole selection of Moscato's, as I couldn't remember the name of what I was looking for. Again, Jan didn't answer the question directly. But offered other things, to which I said no thank you multiple times. She was insistent enough I couldn't even read the wine in front of me; and she had gone over to the champaign. I turned to look at my mom and Jan said "Hello, I'm talking to you". I said "Excuse me, that's rude". She said "who's being rude? You know what, you can just leave, don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out". I was beyond appalled! She continued to say repeatedly "don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out". I've never been more upset and angered like that. I can't believe a place of business would talk to their patrons that way. I don't recommend this store if Jan continues to work here! When the owner was contacted, he essentially dismissed the issue saying "they're aware of how she can be". It's really a shame they've degraded to this. I don't think I'll spend money in any of the Lagree stores again! read more
