They specialize in local varietals, with prices starting at just under 5 Euros... and a lot within the 10 to 15 Euro price point. They also have a good selection of cavas & champagne, and top shelf whiskeys & cognacs. I've found lots of great and much cheaper wines at other bodegas, but not in this area... and i'm never prepared with extra bottles... so it's Vinus & Brindis for when i'm seeking a last minute bottle.

We were unawares of this and had gone there looking for some gourmet snacks to bring home to relatives. The bottom floor holds the liquors while the upstairs holds the wines. Very large selection of liquors (even Japanese surprisingly). In a corner, in the back (on the bottom floor) there is a very small selection of cheeses & prosciutto if you have guests over and don't have time to make another stop to grab some snacks to go with your drinks. In the front by the cashier, there is also a small selection of cookies, biscuits, and canned goods (sardines, olives, etc). We bought 2 bottles of wine that were reasonably priced to make sangria and it turned out great! Definitely stop by if you need some wine/liquors.

This is something places in the U.S. can learn from. We took our glasses and stood at this barrel. There were several in front and used as small tables. Me: I'll be back. I went to the bakery next door and bought a baguette. 80 cents. I then went back into the Boqueria and bought a wedge of brie cheese and two chicken empanadas. After I came back, we got another couple of glasses of wine and proceeded to enjoy a simple lunch. Lots of tourists roaming around, and a few stared at what we were doing. The only downside is that a couple of homeless people came by begging for money. A firm "NO" usually discourages them, and as long as you don't smile or look them in the eye, they'll go away. If you start saying, 'Oh, I'm sorry, I don't have any change," you're opening the door to a conversation. The partner does this and I just laugh because he just keeps telling them "no" in that polite way, and they won't leave. I miss Barcelona! (I'll be saying this about every town we were in)

The older couple that ran it don't speak English, but we're very accommodating. He found us the perfect Spanish Asti Moscato, full of bubbles and the perfect sweetness for the hot summer days of Spain. The local red blend was robust with a slight dry finish that paired deliciously with beef dishes. Together they were under 20€. I love the price and taste of local finds. No parking near the shop. Easy walking from LaRambla or Gothic. They accept Visa tap.
