But, I've had nothing but complications the entire time I've been insured with State Farm. I shopped around and found better coverage with a better premium at another company. I called Matt's office to cancel the policy, and spoke with Ryan. Perhaps I didn't make myself clear in the beginning, but Ryan was saying things that didn't make sense related to what I told him and I got the feeling he didn't actually listen to me based on what he said and the questions he asked. I started speaking to clarify what I wanted, he started talking over me, and I kept talking so he hung up on me - and no, I didn't swear at him. I called back and calmly asked Ryan why he hung on me. He said I was yelling at him. I stayed calm and tried to diffuse the situation, but Ryan continued to be hateful and rude toward me. Finally, he snapped at me, "Your policy has been cancelled per your request. Now I'm done with you! Have a nice day" and hung up on me again - like telling me to have a nice day after being rude and hateful is going to make it better. I did reach out to Matt about it, but so far he's not responded either. Based on my experiences, I do not recommend State Farm as your insurance company, but if you choose to go with them, I strongly do not recommend Mat Stoken's office as your State Farm agent.
