One Act Play About Walmart In One Act…read more Personel: Actor 1: Person who desires to park their RV overnight in Childress, TX. They have insecurities about the state of modern sunrises. Actor 2: Person who wishes to consume vegan food & hot peppers but is not the best at basic mathematics. Scene: Parking lot of Walmart in Childress, TX. (Actor 2 is leaving Walmart as s/he runs into Actor 1 who is entering.) Actor 1: Is that a box of fresh habanero peppers in the your bag right next to the tofu that was on sale? It looks as clean as the store is inside. Actor 2: It must have been on sale, because my receipt was cheaper than I was expecting, but I am not the best at math. (Both turn to the audience as everyone shares a laugh. If no one is laughing, repeat section of play until people understand they need to laugh. NEED to laugh. NEED TO LAUGH.) Actor 1: That is wonderful. Hey, they have this whole lot for parking my RV overnight & are totally o.k. with it. Did you know that? Actor 2: I did! I have parked here before & thought it was nice to wake up early & see the sunrise over this beautiful expanse of land. Actor 1: That IS wonderful! (Both actors shake hands & walk away. I have dark hair, tattoos, I typically wear all black. My last review I had stated I was looking for a gift for a friend, considering the last time I was made so uncomfortable i had to leave abruptly. I at least got about 10 minutes of search time before asking for one of the girls opinion because this clearly isn't my style- but wanted to know kind of who they would see buy it to see if I was on the right track. Even though it's a nationwide chain headquartered in Texas by way of Brazil where the owner is originally from, I love this store for its great home decor and cool gifts. I appreciated the great service my daughters and I got on July 20, 2024. The priciest item I bought was an opalite candle ($19.95). It smells pretty good. The next treasure I adore is an amethyst anklet ($16.95). I think anklets are such a super cool, sexy summer item. The amethyst beads are rich with that purple color. I used to love when my mom would take me in here when I was little. Now my girls love it too. Those silly little hippies...
