The music is out of the world and a mixture of both mod and traditional... they have a great staff who are educated in the Bible and from the greeters to the end it is great.. We joined this year and found new friends and wouldn't trade it for anything we have experienced anywhere else.I haven't seen or heard ANY bigots there..and funerals are planned between what the family wants and planned thru the local funeral home don't know where those comments came from..may have it mixed up with a church down the road with similar name. (They're in my "Superlatives" collection.) Built in 1972 by Rev. Emory Young and volunteers, the chapel was inspired by a similar roadside church spotted in Washington state. Chiropractor Dr. Gaylord Kelly helped fund the project, and local businesses and churches pitched in. The result is a 12-by-24-foot structure with six petite pews that seat just twelve people. Despite its size, it's one of the smallest churches in America and has hosted hundreds of weddings over the decades. Inside, I found a narrow aisle, a guest book for prayers, and a quiet, welcoming atmosphere. The chapel has weathered storms, vandalism, and even Hurricane Matthew, thanks to the care of volunteers and passersby. Located just off Highway 501, it's easy to miss but worth the stop. It was a quick in-and-out today. A volunteer was here, probably keeping an eye on it on a Sunday morning. I didn't stay long. They do accept donations but I didn't spot a donation box.
