I've been going to Press now for 5 years, and it really gives you the feeling of a remote fly-in…read morelake, without flying...Now, I'm not going to say it's easy to get to...north of Ignace, you do have a 10-12 mile gravel, bumpy road to take that leads you to paradise..where in the remote northwoods can you have electricity, running water, showers, microwaves...even internet access if needed. The cabins are clean and well equipped, the boats and motors if you're renting are always reliable and in great shape. The owners go out of their way to make everything they have control over, perfect for you...Now I say control over, since they can't control the fishing or the weather and both can be unpredictable up there. But fish, northern, smallmouth and walleyes can always be caught somewhere on the lake. And the lake has so many islands and bays there's always someplace to tuck in out of the wind if it really gets to blowing. The lake has decent numbers and decent quality fish. 100 fish days per boat can happen..typically, for our group 18-25 nice fish per day, per person. Always enough for a good shore lunch, and so many beautiful spots to pull up to, build a fire, and enjoy fresh caught walleye lunch.Over the years I have done many fly-in trips, drive in trips, boat in trips...but it's tough to beat Press Lake Camp. It gives you great value, great fishing, and great resort owners...tight lines

Evan & Thia Stewart run a float plane service and operate a number of remote cabins on lakes only accessible by plane. We love to fish new lakes every year in Canada. As such we have experienced many different outfitters. This is the first I felt compelled to write a good review. We had reliable equipment, great fishing and excellent service at Ignace Outposts. Although this was our first trip to Ignace I felt like we were treated like friends. We will return next year.

While there is internet access, we chose to disconnect and reconnect with our kids and it was awesome. The kids and I kayaked when not out fishing with dad, enjoyed watching the eagles soar and the fishermen of all ages come in and out with their lunch or dinner! The lake is huge and while we were there for 6 days we didn't come close to exploring it all. This was our first time to this camp and Ryan and Bridget were so helpful answering all our questions with a smile, even the ones from our 10 year old! Looking forward to our visit next year!
