I haven't really don't yoga before so I was a bit nervous. What really peaked my interest were the different yoga classes she offers once a month. There is Goat Yoga with baby goats, Puppy yoga and Kitten Yoga! I loved all of them. Such a different way to enjoy yoga but also the animals. Check out her website for future yoga classes.

I have been to yoga classes before but never an aerial yoga class! A hybrid mix of yoga with aerial hammocks? SO COOL! No matter your flexibility level or prior yoga experience, this place is good for all skill levels. The instructor explains and demonstrates things clearly. With soothing music playing, this was an experience that allows for experimenting at your own comfort level. Time flew by so fast! Phones were not allowed in the room but the instructor takes pictures (with your signed permission) and sends them to you afterwards. She even gave us chocolate strawberries at the end of the session which was such a sweet surprise!!! Laying in savasana in the hammock alone was enough for 5 stars for me. They also offer a variety of classes from barre/mat yoga, prenatal yoga, aerial yoga, and even goat yoga!!! HIGHLY recommend this place to try out with friends or even to try something out by yourself.

I just recently stumbled across Perfect Balance Yoga. Two reasons brought me to this studio…read more First it's close to my work. And second they have more class options that fit into my schedule. I had tried this studio when I first got into yoga. My experience was good but at that time I was looking for something else in my practice.. Well I didn't realize what I was looking for was there the whole time just in a different way. I've come to realize lately that I need a more challenging practice mind, body and soul. And Giovanni is the one who has opened that up to me. The way he teaches and explains movement is so detailed I can close my eyes and listen and adjust my body as need be. When he comes around to correct or aid in some spot or comfort so me as a student can trust and allow to let go, my body can release and go places I never thought was possible. I have too jumped into a basic class when that is all my Sch will allow me to do and I still get a great practice and continue to push myself by reinforcing movement correctly. In the past classes that were over 60 min just frankly bored me... Not here at PBYoga. Even in the beg class I really enjoyed the class and movement. Brought me back to the basics!! This studio is really great! If your looking for a humble environment with some added amenities, I highly recommend PBYoga. I'm very happy I found them and now can practice yoga more often with a schedule of classes that work for me!

The last decade has taught me a lot and I find myself at Perfect Balance a few times a month for their Sunday community classes. $5 a pop, no contract. Their studio is way in the back corner of a complex, so it's private and quiet. The teachers are great at explaining things and are happy to help adjust you. Absolutely non-judgmental atmosphere. It doesn't matter if you're a ninja or a 60-year-old - they encourage you to be kind to your body and go at your own pace. It does feel a bit small in there, so when things get crowded, you'll end up spending the entire yoga class pretending you aren't staring at the rear end of the person in front of you, but that hasn't happened often. Give it a try!

You can feel the warmth of this community from the moment you walk into the door. In class, there are plenty of options to accommodate various physical needs. During instruction, you are provided with valuable insight to support your practice. In case you find this helpful, I started with gentle yoga before moving into vinyasa. About four and a half months in, I tried power yoga and enjoyed it. This gradual approach felt good to me as a newbie.

The extensive review is directed to the owners/manager. On multiple occasions, I have overheard the…read moreowner, Kellee gossiping when she believed no one was around They present themselves as friendly and caring but they are disingenuous. The studio is money-driven under the disguise of "community." They do not support/promote students or events beyond the confines of their own classes/workshops Owners/manager are only focus on collecting class/membership fees than supporting students' yoga growth and practice Owners/manager show no investment in instructors/students' long-term yoga development. Every class opens with redundant intro announcements to market additional paid workshops. The same paid retreats are announced and promoted for half the year, like an hourly infomercial Staff are scheduled few working hours, paid near minimum wage. Instructors are paid roughly one-third of what comparable local studios pay, barely fair The owner, Jameson is a salesman. He uses coercion to get students to sign a contract when they are not ready to make an obligation. Refunds are nonexistent The studio operates in a consistently disorganized manner, with frequent last-minute instructor substitutions. Experienced instructors "wing" classes with recycled intentions and no planning--students are not paying $32 per class for improvisation. Music is often last-minute Spotify playlist; sound speakers and heat/humidity malfunction regularly due to lack of readiness. Even basic setup--such as the instructor's mat, weights and class environment--often unprepared Owners/manager claim extensive years of experience, teaching Sanskrit yet they do not portray a polished or well-developed yoga character Longstanding members see limited progress because the studio prioritizes acquiring new members over supporting existing ones. Original students are stagnant, with common postures going uncorrected & no visible yoga growth/strength. Classes are elementary not suited for students seeking quality growth There appears to be clear favoritism: white instructors are given preference over non-white instructors. Non-white instructors receive very few teaching hours, especially during the most in-demand time hour There is a noticeable lack of strong instructors, particularly male instructors. The owner is rarely present, yet positions himself as the studio's authority. If he takes a dislike to someone, he removes them from the studio under the pretense of "disruptive" behavior Instructors turnover annually/bi-annually. If you disagree with the owners, the environment can quickly become uncomfortable, and your employment will be terminated I strongly recommend that current instructors build and maintain their own social media presence so they retain an independent audience in the event they are let go Constructive feedback / suggestions are not welcomed or considered; the owners respond in a dismissive, short-tempered manner To be fair, a no-show fee should not be charged when the class is not full Favorite instructor is Jasmine because of genuineness, maturity, professionalism Least favorite instructor is Farin due to consistent lack of preparation, visibly stress, depressing aura

I would 1000% recommend doing one-on-one training sessions--it's the best money I've ever spent on myself. Thanks to our workouts, I had an incredibly easy delivery and post-partum recovery. Tal radiates positive energy! She kept me smiling, fit, motivated, and--most importantly--SAFE throughout my pregnancy. Her workouts were not only fun but also incorporate many moves that can actually be used during labor. She was always in-tune to my needs and would adapt her routines--even mid-workout--to make sure I was safe and pain-free. I also loved that she emphasized important foundations (e.g. proper breathing technique, connecting breath to core and pelvic floor, safe ways to get in/out of bed, ways to avoid diastasis recti, etc). I continue to use those skills daily. Not only is Tal a mama herself, she has years of experience as a specialized prenatal/post-partum personal trainer. She even stays up-to-date with ACOG recommendations and takes refresher maternal health courses. As a physician, I was impressed with the depth of her knowledge. If you train with her, you get access to her Strong Mama Fitness online for free--another incredible resource. Although she is no longer local in the Bay Area, she is available for 1-on-1 virtual training via Zoom. Our virtual sessions were super convenient, all without sacrificing quality. I can't recommend Tal enough!
