I have been going to this place for many years and had no issues with it, until recently when that technician came. Her arrogant demeanor and how she speaks to people is another level disrespectful. I don't understand how she thinks it's okay to talk to people like that. The least I can say about her is unprofessional. My advice to her is to career shift to something that doesn't involve customers. Her name is flor ( if that's truly her name, that's what she gave me) but if you go there and see her, I recommend you to speak with someone else. Nasty! read more

The most uncomfortable location I've ever been to Chairs were set up like school chairs facing the side wall, perpendicular to the front desk. Worst experience I've had with a phlebotomist, I've never had such a big bruise getting blood drawn as I have now. I felt the needle in my arm moving the whole time she was drawing my blood as she wasn't doing a good job at holding the base as she changed tubes. The interactions with everyone here were very cold and it seems like they are HORRIFICALLY short staffed. I won't go here again, learned my lesson. read more

The receptionist at the front had the only attitude this morning dropping paperwork that a patient was attempting to hand her not picking it moving to the next person than snatching paperwork from another patient, this is not only unprofessional but it's also disrespectful. read more

This location is awful, with the most uncomfortable waiting room I've ever been in, strange seating in waiting room a tv on with no sound not welcoming or relaxing at all I brought my two kids here to get bloodwork and they were just uncomfortable from the second we stepped in. The staff is rude and unpleasant no smiles or kindness in their behavior. Waited forever to be seen. Once we were seen the technician was much more pleasant than when checking in which was good but All in all not a pleasant experience. read more

I would not choose this location if you have a choice. Came in on a weekday mid-morning, everything worked smoothly until I went inside. I did online appointment setting and check in, that worked great. Once inside, staff seemed to be overwhelmed, confused, had difficulty with communicating with people, and when it was time to provide my service they did not give clear instructions. A lot of miscommunication and negative interactions with staff. It was busy, so that may be why I had a negative experience. Noticed that other folks had communication issues with staff too while I was in the waiting room. They just seemed flustered. They may need more staff. The facility was not clean. I went to one bathroom and there was a cup with liquid that spilled, maybe urine not sure but it was gross. I had to go to a second bathroom due to the miscommunication, and the lock box to put my items in was dirty. I left feeling paranoid that my sample would not be processed correctly, because they seem so overwhelmed, slightly incompetent, and short staffed. My visit was for a new job (drug screen) so this experience gave me additional stress I didn't need that I already have starting a new job etc.. Hopefully all goes well but I wish I went to another location. Will never go here again, and glad I didn't have to give blood due to unsanitary issues I saw. read more

I was given bloodtest Rx to do by an MD specialist, some of which were just done 1 week prior by my primary care physicia So not to repeat the same tests over and charge insurance twice, I asked them to just do the remaining tests. There were no other patients there. The two employees had nothing else to do but refused to call either of the doctors to get it straight. ( too used to working at home I guess). I really needed these important tests. they were not concerned about my welfare at all. They were simply rude. The office in Patchogue was much more accommodating. DO NOT go to this one! Not sure why there are a number of negative reviews. My experience was outstanding, and consistent with interactions I have had with other Labcorp locations. Overall excellent: 1. Easy to make an appointment online; 2. Can check in and wait in car when you arrive: 3. Wait from time of check in until when you are seen is less than 5 minutes; 4. Staff was courteous and efficient; 5. Facility is nice, spacious, and immaculate 6. Needed blood drawn and tested. Whole thing done in less than 15 minutes from time of arrival to completion, with no necessity for any contact with or proximity to other patients. read more

There are no appointment times. Have to wait over 2 hours for a routine blood draw. I have waiting here since 8:30 am. It's 11 am now. And they still haven't taken me in. This place is ridiculous. If you ask how long the wait will be they refuse to give you a straight answer. The answer you get it is "you can see there are a lot of people". Where is you professionalisms? Did you leave it in your bed when you woke up. Most people can't spend an entire day waiting to get one routine blood test. But the people waiting here tell me that normally the wait is only 15 mins. So an up date they do have appointments and it is quicker when you come in with one. That what they said at the desk. When you walk in they ask you to check in at the kiosk. Which I did. Then I asked how long the wait would be. I was told by the gentleman "you can see there are a lot of people". And to wait in my car. I would get a call. Turns out there computer/ kiosk malfunctioned. It had not checked me in or done what it need to do. When I went in to ask about how long it would take a second time after waiting 2 hour. I found out I was not checkin. The guy have the nerve to say that they call people. Implying that I had been called. Didn't happen. Then he basically says that he did me a favor taking me in. Cause they were closing there doors early. Which they were doing because they had fallen behind and were severely under staffed. Only 2 people working. The guy putting in my information and drawing my blood were the same. That is just too much stress and work for one person no wonder he's in a crabby mode. Also the materials they use are terrible. The needle I was stuck with was very big. They should be using a butterfly needle. They are using cheep stuff to cut cost. Cutting corners. read more

I live within walking distance (1/2 mile) of this particular location, But when I need to do Lab work I drive to the location on Sills Road in E. Patchogue. From the little Biddies at the front desk who ignore arriving patients and continue on their personal calls or chit chatting each other -- to the technicians within the facility with their unfriendly and arrogant demeanor. On another note the place is poorly laid out and does not offer a sense of a professional environment in any respect -- How is this place still open ? read more

I've been going there for about a year now. Best lab that I have been to. It's so quick and easy, make an appointment or walk-in. I suggest making an appointment. The nurses there are friendly and helpful. If you have a problem signing in --- just go to the window and they will help you. I recommend them. read more

Came to labcorp for drug screen and bloodwork for an employer. I was very confused as this is my first time at LabCorp, but the girls in the front took the time to help me check in and explain the whole procedure. Even though it was busy and you can see them running around, they still took the time to make me feel comfortable and explain everything. This morning I came in to do my glucose fasting exam for my pregnancy. Upon arriving there's a front desk. The gentleman ahead of me stood at the front desk for several minutes before anyone came to the desk. When the technician came to the desk she told him he needed to sign in at the kiosk in the back of the room with the label and machine facing away from incoming patients so that you cannot tell it is a kiosk to sign into. The gentleman clearly had no clue how to use the kiosk and stood there for another 10 minutes trying to figure out how to use it. In the meantime another woman came in and was directed by the tech to also use the machine. After getting tired of waiting she asked him if he needed help and she then went to the desk to ask the technician to help him. Once he was finished I went up to the kiosk and began to schedule my appointment. The machine denied me and wanted me to schedule an appointment for the following morning. This made no sense to me as it was only 8:45 AM. I then approached the desk and asked how long they were open and why I was being denied taking the test today. Apparently the machine always does this. This is quite irritating as I find having to schedule your own appointment with a computer to be extremely impersonal and creates a disconnect between patient and care tech. I am a nurse and I do feel that bedside manner is of utmost importance. After a few minutes she drew my blood and gave me the drink and stated that I would have five minutes to finish the drink. Once I was finished I should let them know immediately. I then told them I was done and she stated that I needed to have my blood drawn in one hour from that time and then one more time an hour after that. I then gathered my belongings and went out to my car. At 5 minutes to my blood draw time I returned and the other technician at the desk stated in a very rude manner that I should not have left and that I'm not supposed to leave. I then went into the room where the tech stated I shouldn't have left and asked if I had eaten or had any drinks while I'd left. I did not and I told them so. I'm now sitting in the waiting room but I'm extremely irritated. Since arriving this morning the tv has been in a state waiting for a password for the technicians to put in. Nothing is playing. The room is silent except for one other woman who keeps taking phone calls on speaker phone. I had gone out to my car earlier to keep myself preoccupied for the hour I had to wait before my next blood draw. I simply watched Hulu in my car so as to not disturb anyone else in the waiting room. I'm now sitting in this waiting room 40 minutes in silence again except for this woman who keeps rudely taking phone calls. As the technician/nurse/provider it is their responsibility and job to explain the process to the patient. I am a nurse and whenever doing any procedure, test, giving medication etc it is extremely important to be informative with your patients. On top of which, while sitting here, yet another patient has arrived who just now expressed she's disabled. When she arrived with two canes, no one was at the front desk and I told her that she would have to use the kiosk to check in. I stated, "nothing is done in person anymore." To which she replied, "I guess not!" After she finally finished the process she said to the tech who is now sitting at the desk, "I have to tell you miss, this process is not very handicapped friendly." The lab tech did not apologize but stated "I can take your paperwork ma'am." To which the patient stated, "Well it's already done now." And the tech stated she needed the patients script. The patient then handed her the script and the tech stated "You can have a seat now for a few minutes." Rather than stating an apology and telling the patient she would go over to her to help with anything further. And now an elderly woman walked in and was directed to the kiosk after going to the front desk. To which she replied "Hopefully I can figure it out. I hate these things." Other patients came out and saw she was having trouble and had some conversation about what a shame it is and how the techs simply sit there. This whole process is indeed a shame. More has to be done to be patient friendly. Shame on LabCorp and shame on your technicians who don't take any responsibility to have bedside manner and help their patients. read more

These girls are so sweet. Every time I come here they are so helpful and courteous. I am such a big baby when it comes to blood work and the technician was so patient with me.After reading the other yelp reviews I was nervous but it couldn't have been further from the truth. I have been to this lab various times and the women there are always nice. People seem to have such an attitude because they have to check in at the kiosk without even giving it a chance. It is not that hard you just have to read the screen. Both ladies are very nice and helpful ever time I have been there. read more
