Fortunately, Lexington Diagnostic has options for patients like myself. I experienced "open MRI" that allowed me to have three sides unobstructed while I was in the machine. My technician was Meagan and she was extremely professional and even though the diagnostic center is very busy, she did not rush me or overlook my concerns about the process. I did have to wait past my appointment time, but not excessively long. Like I said, they are very busy but they seem to keep the flow of patients moving pretty well. I highly recommend them and if I have medical imaging needs in the future I will no doubt go here again.

Doctors are recommending patients for an open MRI, patients go there or an MRI, and don't find out until they get there and given a gown that they don't have it. They ask the patient if they are claustrophobic and then tell them they don't have an open MRI. They have two machines - on that is smaller than a coffin, and a larger so they ask if you want to be put in feet first. I had a MRI and my doctor wanted one with contrast. He ordered it immediately and they kept making excuses about how it would take 28 days to get another one. My doctor faxed them, and finally called them; my insurance company contacted them and I called them. They said doctors depended too much on faxes and I know my doctor called because I kept tell them they wouldn't do it. I discovered that when 28 days had passed they could charge you again and they wouldn't do just the MRI with contrast but they did the other one first. They were able to charge $200 even thought I had paid $170 just 27 days earlier. They were waiting until they could charge for another MRI without out contrast (which I didn't need) and add the with contrast to it. I was very upset and would have walked out but I needed to get the one with contrast and my doctor had been waiting a month. I came away with the feeling of false advertising and feeling cheated because of the scheme to get paid twice.

On Saturday they open at 8:30am and I showed up about 8:15am without an appointment. Rhonda promptly assisted me in securing an appointment for 9:30am. She went above and beyond, she just handled it for me, and I'm very grateful. The first appointment at 8:30am only took literally a couple of minutes, and with no one else there to be seen, I was able to get in to the see the doctor, Bridget, right away. She attentively listened to me, answered my questions, and found a course of action to assist me. She is very kind. I will most definitely be coming back here if I have further need of their services. Kudos to Rhonda and Bridget for being so kind and helpful!

Once I get there I present the card & she immediately starts telling me he doesn't have insurance (he does and it is accepted at little clinic, I made sure to check before arriving) so I get a little nervous thinking something happened with his policy. I asked the cost out of pocket since he needed to be seen, she then gets very rude telling me I'm actively trying to commit insurance fraud in the middle of the store?? Very insulting to a young mom that spends hours on the phone to get these things in line like I'm supposed to. So I went ahead and tried a different urgent care right after. There were no issues with his insurance whatsoever! This place is nothing but a waste of time.

They move fast, but you really get the feeling they care. The facility itself offers a lot of services that many others do not- X-Ray, full lab, minor surgical procedures, tests for Flu, Strep, RSV, UA, vaccines, sutures, IV hydration, EKG, etc. Not only have I had a great experience as a patient, but I did my clinical hours there for CCMA as well, and I learned so much thanks to people like Mary, Kayla, Muhammad, Sarah, and others. I would recommend this facility as a patient and as a professional.
