You will get amazing service there; because they love and care for you. They have a new system called the LabCorp kiosk. I'd never seen this before but it was fairly self explanatory and makes everything flow much better because you are able to verify that all of your information is correct. After a job interview and being notified that I needed to go to Quest Diagnostics for a drug screen, I immediately made an online appointment upon returning home that day. I received a confirmation email as well as confirmation number verifying that I had an appointment the following day at 2pm. I showed up at 1:30 pm, but upon signing in at the "kiosk" there was no record of my appointment that day, relegating me to "walk in" status. After waiting 45 minutes I was waited upon, and I informed the only staff member present, a woman named Myra, that I had an appointment scheduled at 2pm that day but that the kiosk had dismissed my confirmation code. She dismissed my comments quickly and was extremely rude to me, saying she had "no scheduled appointments that day". What ensued was a massive debacle involving me having to call back my hiring agency for another "authentication number" because by this time my order for the drug screen had expired by about 30 minutes, leading me back to the end of the line again and resulting in another 45 minute wait before I was *begrudgingly* waited upon again and the lab test was completed. This was a 2-hour nightmare that could have been avoided easily but the broken nature of this company's online appointment registration system combined with the jaded and rude staff made this one of the most hellish experiences of my life.

Which I didn't know as I got there around 12:25. However when I did walk in they have a kiosk to sign in and than reception takes you in the back to do your testing. I had no wait time as it was empty when I walked in &one person came in behind me. The waiting room was clean &the bathroom was clean as well. My experience was with Kim and she was helpful and friendly.Kim did everything in front of me and I saw her put the labels on the test containers. After that I signed the paperwork and received a copy of it as well. I feel like I had a very different experience from others. It was a quick in and out visit.

I work for Labcorp on the health and wellness screening side and also for 16 different health and wellness companies; I would never be so cold and showing annoyance with someone who came to a screening. I was greeted with a frown and made to feel like a hindrance. I also didn't get to see the lab orders printed out or the labels put on the tubes I brought in. Protocol was definitely not followed. So if the supervisor who reacted to my first review sees this, you need to speak to whoever was working today. My daughter's lab orders are for a rare genetic muscle disease and I hope they were labeled and poured off after I left. Now I have to add this place to the list to avoid for mine and my daughter's bloodwork. I strive to make every individual feel welcomed and heard when I interact with them and it's sad to see this type of behavior. Unfortunately, it seems to be getting worse as people have reported. I am a self employed phlebotomist and I don't understand the bad ratings here. As someone who works in the field I guess I understand that not every blood draw is the same and they all aren't quick in and outs. Getting a difficult stick can sometimes set you back 20 minutes or more just trying to find a vein, especially medically fragile patients. I've never had an issue with the staff. They have always been professional and courteous to me. I frequently have to drop off samples and this is always my go to. They are knowledgeable and are always willing to help if I have questions about my personal blood draws or my daughters. I think that people need to realize these phlebotomist are hustling all day long, what you can't see on the backside of the lab is all the extra work and effort that has to go into processing your samples, paperwork and a multitude of other things. These phlebotomist are doing 5 peoples jobs. So please remember not to go into a lab expecting immediate help as they may actively have a needle in someone's arm and that person is being taken care of, and when it's your turn you will be too! And if your phlebotomist is a good stick, let them know!
