Our French is limited and we wandered into the patio towards a table as we tried to get the Server's attention. Just as we sat down, the extremely rude and nasty Server berated us. As we quickly attempted to apologize for our mistake he continued to mistreat us and speak with such hostility that we insisted we would leave because how dare he speak to us like that! It was an honest mistake on our part which we tried to apologize for but he insisted 'how dare we seat ourselves'. Our son-in-law is a Chef, one town over and he was appalled at how we were treated. We understood immediately we had made a mistake but to be spoken to with such ignorance and malice was uncalled for. He was just rude so we happily left and took our patronage over to Eze. This Person/Maitre di was Ignorant, Arrogant and had no class at all. We will be sure to tell anyone and everyone else we know not to go here, including those our son-in-law and daughter know as well since they are locals!!

Naturally, they have a very nice outdoor seating set up, but we dined inside to give ourselves a much needed break from second hand smoke. My mother and I split a fresh and in every way delightful salad niçoise and my dad had the steak tartar. It was a steak tartar which he referred back to for the entire trip, the one that every following tartar was held up against and failed to compare to. The baguette basket they brought with the food was very precious. Springy, soft and crusty pieces of freshly baked baguette. Probably from the amazing boulangerie across the street. We grew quite fond of our waiter through the course of the meal. A jovial and friendly redhead. At the end of the meal, he helped us understand how to tip in Europe, and explained it in a completely unbiased manner.

So just a few steps away a great place overlooking g the bay here was available. Walk down the pier and up the stairs to see they have a full bar and restaurant with beautiful patio dining. Service amazing as you are greeted at the door and escorted to a table. I didn't have to wait both times I tried it which was nice. Tables have white tablecloth and the service is upscale. Don't have to dress special, it's at the beach and pier so it's relaxed. I ordered a burger and a beer and loved it so much, the second time I came back I ordered the same. They have Italian items on the menu and French as well but damn that burger I really liked it that much. Funny thing is I like to try variety of things but serious I like their burger that much. The caramelized onions have to be one good thing as well as the meat quality. I'll get it again next time.... Beer cold, Aperol spritz was made very well as well. They serve you olive spread with biscuits before ordering which is a nice touch. Great place and I will definitely go back.

We had a beautiful view. We had champagne. All the wine here is good. We had crab salad for our appetizer. They also brought out some very good bread and olive oil. I had fish (can't remember what kind) with a side of fresh vegetables. While very good, after I had a bite of my husbands wagu steak I wished I'd ordered that! It was terrific. We ordered one dessert to split-tiramisu it was huge. As always in France expect to wait and wait for your check. Our total was 145$ American. Not too bad for a great location.

Currently toqued by Emmanuel Pilon, a native of Lyon who has been with Ducasse since 2009 and leading Le Louis XV since 2022, food takes on the Mediterranean with an embrace of seasonality while service led by Claire Sonnet is faultless whether one is wearing Richard Mille and Dior or blue haired in military boots. Booked for dinner as opposed to lunch, similar Tasting Menus and a la carte options save for the discounted daytime offering, "Agape" features five proper courses plus Cheese, Amuses and Mignardises for €420 while "Jardin" caters to Vegetarians for €290. A mix of Ducasse classics and Pilon's creativity, Sancerre proving well-suited to seasonal Citrus, razor-thin Crackers begin the evening followed by five nibbles from which a shimmering Sardine Tartlette and fried Beets with Octopus were highlights. A well-paced meal in such a grand room, with no detail overlooked, Bread and good Butter is plentiful whether one prefers Baguette, Sourdough or Fougasse in two flavors prior to an Amuse of honeyed Oysters or sweet raw Shrimp beneath grilled Kiwi foam. Fully committed to the Riviera's unique terroir, charred Mullet with Lime, Lemon and Hazelnuts in a velvety Potage the first proper plate, Pilon's signature "Artichoke, Sea Anemone, Caviar" earns its accolades by way of sharply contrasting textures including a core of creamy Burrata. Leaning into early Spring next with White Asparagus and line-caught John Dory beneath a blanket of white, its subtle flavors setting up nicely for lightly cooked Lamb in its own Jus with natural salinity added by Samphire and Offal Ravioli spooned on later as an added surprise. Turning things over from here to Pastry Chef Sandro Micheli, bracing Sorbet followed by a plated Cheese Course with Quince and Salad, Bread Ice Cream soon gives way to a choice of Desserts including Ducasse's famous Baba or Rhubarb Soufflé infused with Sauternes and modernity. Not done yet, a Coffee and Tea trolley following Pandoro sliced tableside, seasonal Citrus again finds itself featured first in four different Jellies and then at the center of handmade Chocolates before guests are presented with a complimentary loaf of Pandoro and menu to take home.

For food, we absolutely loved the lobster and cheese course. The veal was disappointing. The interior is beautiful and service friendly (but slow). Amazing to try once.
