This bakery does everything right. The sandwiches are delicious on freshly baked Pan d Agua. They have great empanadas and a full bar. Definitely stop here is you are hungry and want fresh tasty food. Not far from the Plaza Las Americas mall.

FANTASTICO! This establishment offers incredible sandwiches prepared on incredibly delicious bread with a crunchy crust, they also offer pan integral (whole wheat). The star of the store is the very likeable staff, they are well-trained and very pleasant! La Viña is a casual spot that has a very 1970's look, it's interior looks a bit like something you'd see in an old movie...it reminds me of New York! My FAVORITE item on the menu is their Manchego Cheese Sandwich! I ask them to prepare it on Toasted bread BUT and they add the (room temp) Manchego Cheese after (ask them to skip the Margarine, it's not good for your health and the sandwich will still taste superb...BEST VEGETARIAN SANDWICH IN THE METRO AREA!!! Priced at around $4.75, it's also a great value! Bravo to the hard-working Management and Staff at this classic Deli/Panaderia.

One of my all time favorite sandwish bakeries. This is not a place you come to gate bread and cakes this is a place you come to get a real good sandwish. They have all the classics that any reputable Puerto Rican slandwish shop should have. I have been coming here for over 20 years and it never lets down. This is not a foodie place or a tourist trap. It's the real deal locals favorite. Also checkout La Jamberguera across the street.

AMBIANCE Parking: Old San Juan rules--come early or be ready to walk. Seating: Multiple seating areas for individuals and small groups but it's also a cafe too so there is seating in the back too. Vibes: Clean, modern café with a mix of locals and tourists. You can tell people come here for the coffee, not just to pass through. It leans more intentional and coffee-focused rather than just aesthetic--which I appreciated. FOOD / DRINKS Coquito Frap (Recommend) When in Puerto Rico, Coquito. Creamy, coconut-forward, and lightly spiced--like a frozen coquito with a coffee twist. Sweet, smooth, and definitely more of a dessert drink than a regular latte. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and efficient. Even with a crowd, things moved quickly. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Solid spot. Great drink options at a reasonable price. They know what they're doing. Whether you're a coffee person or just need a reset, this place delivers. Salute to the Munoz family for sharing their coffee to the world! TIPS * Try their house coffee if you want the full experience--that's what they're known for.

We loved it so much we actually went twice during our trip - and even made a final stop before heading to the airport to go home. On our first visit, Hector (the roaster) happened to be there, which made the experience feel even more special. The staff overall were all so kind and attentive. The coffee is absolutely excellent - velvety smooth, rich, and delicious. I could easily drink more than one cup. I had a latte, and my husband had a macchiato, and both were great. They have a cute little outdoor atrium seating area, but we preferred indoors where all the comfy pillow seating was. Just a note - they don't offer decaf - but for regular coffee drinkers, it's a must-visit. Such a gem in Old San Juan!

I've bought them at the grocery store for my mother over the years when I couldn't find Menier. I was hoping to see some unique desserts at Chocobar Cortés. Let's just say that the chocobar at this location was not what I was expecting. It's like an express version of their original one in Old San Juan. This is located in the lobby of the Condado Palm Hotel. There are 2 entrances. Don't make the same mistake we did by trying to access at street level. That door is locked. You'll need to enter through the hotel lobby. The service is very slow here. There was only one other person there. We ordered a box of 6 chocolates and payed for it. I'm guessing he was making a drink for the other guest because he asked us to wait a few minutes. It ended up being longer so he told his colleague (who just came back from a break) to make up the chocolate box for us. Unfortunately, it took even longer as this other guy was more interested in the 2 young girls who just walked in. The chocolate bonbons were good, but nothing unique. It's the same artisan chocolates that you see everywhere for the same high price. Perhaps this location is better for their specialty cocktails in the evening time. I was looking forward to trying the choco-latte at some point. I doubt there will be a next time.
