On a hot day in downtown Hendersonville, Kilwin's is an air conditioned refuge where you can get a…read moretreat, most specifically fudges, baked goods, and ice cream. It has that old timey ice cream parlor feel, but with beyond 2026 prices. Seriously, everything in there is just really really expensive. Delicious no doubt, but very expensive. Swallowing that fact for the moment, we stopped in and got some ice cream. I got the Kilwin's chip flavor variety, which is a vanilla and caramel swirl with a litany of tiny chocolate chips throughout. I had two scoops in a waffle bowl. Thankfully, these were not baby scoops, so even though you're paying a lot, at least you'll get a nice bowl of ice cream. If you and a friend or S.O. can agree on your flavor and toppings, it would be way more cost efficient to order a large (3 scoop) bowl and split it. Unfortunately, that's not my life. My love always wants a fruity thing, and I always want a chocolatey thing. Price not considered, the ice cream is ultra premium, very delicious and refreshing. The waffle bowl it came in was crisp and lovely, and as mentioned before, the two scoops were big scoops. The staff were young, very friendly, and helpful. If in this situation again, I would come again, and just try not to think about what it costs.

That was dry so I ordered different flavors. It turns out those were dry and not freshly made too. I'd say it was at least 3 days old if not more. I'd never been served old fudge at a Kilwins before, so I will need to be more cautious in the future before buying. I should have realized if the sample was old and dry the rest of it likely was too. I bought some prepackaged boxes too before I left. All of these items were placed in a white paper bag. It couldn't handle the weight and ripped about a block away. I'm not sure why I wasn't given an adequate bag for the weight. This was a disappointing experience and not the store I remember. I suspect the owners changed. I will not stop again.

We love froyo and usually know exactly what we want, and while not every shop has the same toppings, this one had mochi (my favorite!) but no caramel topping. Other than that, everything was great -- good yogurt, clean space, and reasonable prices.

The flavors were four stars. It is amazing if you are dairy free bc or the flavors available. You…read moreget more than one. But after that it was a let down. I live for self serve fro yo places. From yogurt land to cherry on top to menchies and more. And I've never been so meh about a location before The worker was not friendly nor did they acknowledge us or even attempt to build rapport. The few questions we had were met with a lack of desire to answer And the pricing was above all the rest. We paid almost 34 dollars for a few treats and each only was allowed to pick one topping. I'd rather get gourmet gelato and sorbet For those prices than chemicals in a soft serve We were surprised at the limited toppings but maybe that's just bc of lower customer counts. I just love the idea of a fun ice cream date out with the family or kids. And to know what these families were spending broke my heart. The sorbet flavors were very good however. Four star! And maybe be more outgoing. It's on Main Street and you have so much foot traffic. We all just want to be seen and smile.

Someone recommended to us Mikes On Main Street for the best burgers in an old drug store. We loved the atmosphere and history of the building! The food was really good and everyone really liked what they ordered. My wife and I ordered The Grilled Rueben with fries (yum). It was really good! Everyone was very nice. Definitely recommend Mikes On Main Street!!!

The 50s-style diner opens early for breakfast and switches to the lunch menu at 11am. Justus Pharmacy occupied the building from 1890 to 1993. Then the building was renovated to Mike's on Main. I loved that it still has the pharmacy feel, and that they kept the Apothecary neon sign out front, the 1890's ceiling, the 1920s mosaic floor tile, the 1930's fountain bar with bar stools, a juke box, old cash registers, a vintage "Drugs & Lunch" sign in the back, and apothecary bottles. Outside the building is a Coca-Cola mural painted in 1905. It's amazing to think that author Thomas Wolfe used to hang out at this very soda fountain back in the day! I arrived right around 11:00 AM while the breakfast menus were still out. Although the Eggs Benedict looked highly tempting, I ultimately went with the egg salad on toasted sourdough. It was a generous portion, topped with fresh lettuce and tomato, served with a bag of chips and a pickle. You could immediately tell the egg salad was completely homemade and fresh. I also treated myself to an old-fashioned ice cream soda with chocolate ice cream, which was absolutely delicious! I enjoyed my lunch immensely, and the lively, retro atmosphere made it even more fun. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, even taking extra care to make sure I noticed all the historical decor spread throughout the space. I already look forward to my next visit!
