Very nice Italian restaurant in Wedel harbor. We usually stop here for their coffee and deserts. Prices are a bit higher than in Hamburg, but food and coffee are amazing! Service is fast and friendly. read more

A trick that feels a little dated in the age of marine traffic apps, but it certainly still draws tour bus crowds. Also, the views are good, but don't compare to the smaller pontoon restaurants in Blankenese and Teufelsbruck. The menu is hearty and quite limited, focusing on fried fish, plaice, Schnitzel and the likes. Mains go for ~20-40€, which I found a bit high for the plain execution that didn't feel entirely home-cooked. Service is very friendly and efficient, and the views are good.

After missing breakfast (no gf options…read morewhere I was), I went to Isabella just after lunch and loaded up on goodies that were safe for me to eat: a roll for the train ride the next day, a cherry crumble because I couldn't resist, and a delicious little personal-size quiche and a coffee for right then. Because it is set up as a pop-up, they only have a microwave for warming things. I think I would have had the quiche cold if I realized that. Otherwise, everything was just perfect for this celiac traveler. Of note: the young woman at the counter spoke English (my German was not sufficient to make cure that this was safe for someone with celiac) and reassured me that it was truly gluten free, made in a dedicated kitchen. Oh- and if you need the WC, ask for the key at the counter.
