October 2025. First time visitor to HK or TJ. Saturday night around midnight, me and the boys…read moredecide "yup, we're doing this". We drove across the border and directly to the club.
Considerations and Notes:
- Yes, we drove into TJ. My cousin had a busted ankle at the time and couldn't do the walk across the border. Driving into TJ is not for the timid. For example, technically, you need Mexican auto insurance. Your US policy will not cover you. Proceed at your own risk.
- Do not wear flashy clothes or jewelry in TJ.
- Cash is king. Bring small bills for tipping, larger bills for anything else. Do not bring your cards.
- Don't be cheap; be prepared to tip and you'll enjoy yourself a whole lot more.
- Bring just the necessities with you....passport, cash. If you carry medication, get a keychain pill bottle.
- Check with your cellular provider on global coverage; most plans include Mexico, but your mileage may vary. You'll want at least data so you can use GPS or Uber.
- Remember, YOU are the outsider. Above all else, be respectful.

We crossed the border into TJ around midnight. Was not stopped; saw one other car stopped in secondary. Proceeded directly to the club based on GPS. Followed traffic signals and signs as well as humanly possible. (Some signs and stop lights are non-existent and roads aren't in great shape, just roll with it)
Made it to the club safely. Valet is $10, gave the guy $20 and asked him for a safe spot and to keep an eye on the truck. HK has secure parking around the corner.
Cover was $5 with a free beer. (Tecate)
Walk in, jaw hits the floor. 5 floors, easily 300+ women of every shape, size and color. This place is unreal.
After walking the club for about an hour, we grab a table on the top floor and order our first round. Drinks are cheaper than they are in the US, but we tipped like we were in the US. This got us impeccable service. After round two, the fine gentleman who was serving us (Angel, server #13...highly recommended) got us a better table on the second floor, over looking the first floor in the A/C. (The entire club isn't covered by A/C, only certain areas). This was wonderful. We ordered another round and enjoyed the views. Due to our tips, Angel literally stayed by our side through the night and security kept an eye on us (in a good way). Never felt unsafe or uneasy. Just good clean fun.
It helps if you've been to a gentlemen's club before and know the rules of the road. (Know how to be polite, how to read people, how to say "No thanks".) I would not go to HK uninitiated, this is the major leagues.
.....Now, for the cultured among you, yes I can speak to the "additional services rendered". Details.....
-- The club owns the hotel above. Should you choose to want a more private experience, simply ask. She'll take your hand and lead you to the hotel.
-- First stop will be the club door, where she will get a jacket. Tip the jacket guy. (Yeah I know, this might seem excessive but it's expected. Just do it. Plus $10 tip.)
-- Next stop was reception for the hotel. Room was $40. Plus $5 tip.
-- Next stop was the bar. Her drink was free, mine was $5. Plus $5 tip.
-- Finally made it to the room. She came prepared with all the right tools of the trade...a "hat", gum, even soap for the shower after. $150 for the hour. Plus $20 tip.
-- After the fun, we headed back to the club. Cleaning guy was waiting down the hall and asked how the room was. "Perfect. Thank you very much." Plus $10 tip.
Alrighty! So back to the boys I go. They tied on a couple more and I enjoyed some Cokes. (If you're driving, be smart here folks)
After about 4 hours we decide to call it. Bar bill total came to around $200....that's with 4 guys drinking Johnny Walker Blacks. Good deal. (For additional perspective, a bottle of Bulliet is $150 and a Coke or bottle of water is $5.)
We headed back out front. Handed the valet guy my ticket. Truck comes back in perfect shape, not a scratch. Another $20 tip to the valet and a solid fist bump.
Following GPS, we head back directly to the border. It's now about 430am Sunday morning. Zero line, we pull right up to the booth. CBP asks what we did, told them we went to party at the Hong Kong as I handed him our passports. He chuckled and said "Yupppp". He scanned them and waved us through. Easy peasy.
Epic. What a night to remember. Will be returning, without question. The only thing I'll do differently is get Mexican car insurance for the next trip, which you can get by the day. Just for piece of mind.
Thank you to the HK staff for being so chill and accommodating. You've got an amazing club and we will be back.
