It was cooked perfectly. The dipping oil that they bring with it is a must try. It just gives it that extra special flavor. We followed that with each ordering a pasta dish. Just an FYI....one pasta dish is enough for two people. That is if you can agree on the same pasta dish. We didn't know the proportions before we ordered, but we were happy to take our leftovers home. I ordered the Rigatone with Mandorlata (creamy mushroom and almond sauce). Can I just say WOW? The black truffles were not over powering like some restaurants use them. He describes it as a rich taste, perfect pasta and well balanced. The lomo was probably the best dish with a sweet cream sauce. The calzone was crispy but the inside was overly watery and it could definitely do without the drizzle of balsamic vinegar on top. The arrabbiata sauce was tasty but heartburn central (that's my own personal issue not a reflection on the restaurant). Lastly, the ratio of sauce to cheese on the pizza was totally off (virtually zero sauce) and the crust was more like a cracker. Overall, this was not my favorite. The food was not what I have experienced in the other restaurant. I prefer the one in Pozuelo.

In the dark, the bright lights of this two-story restaurant popped out and we knew we had found our destination. The place was bustling and since we didn't have reservations, we were escorted up the stairs and put into a tiny corner table for two hidden from the rest of the restaurant that was perfect. If this is the kind of seating that warrants no reservations, I'll never call ahead again. Our waiter was very pleasant and guided us through their vast menu. I was most impressed when he suggested we didn't get bread (which most places throw at you for a price whether you want it or not) since the portions are so large. And boy was he right! I went with the mezza luna pasta filled with goat cheese and bacon. You can choose from a variety of sauces from simple bolognese to pesto to siciliana. He suggested I try it with the creamy mushroom sauce so went with that and found it delicious. My date got one of their very thin crust pizzas with foie gras, tomatoes, and some other things that was very good too. To end the meal we went with the molten chocolate cake that oozed scalding fudge sauce that burnt my mouth but I quickly eased the pain with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream. I'm usually not a fan of restaurants with multiple locations like Tagliatella but this really wasn't bad and I would come back next time I am looking for some fresh and filling Italian fare.
