Kinda makes sense, right? A starter, a first course, a pizza, and a dessert. Well, maybe my Spanish is absolute trash because I *thought* I knew what I was ordering and I only got a salad and a pasta. That said, my salad and pasta were excellent. The salad was fresh and beautifully presented. The chicken was tasty. A cool mix of ingredients. The pasta was perfectly al dente, light, and delicious. I asked for the bill and was told to pay up front. And I walked out without one of those pizzas and they looked amazing. (Cracks open Spanish book to learn how to say, "Does this menu include pizza and if not how do we assure that I get a pizza because damn, those pizzas look amazing.")

Wow. Just wow…read more We've been in Barcelona for almost two years now. We've found a couple of places with good pizza, but they are both across town from where we live. Now we've found a GREAT, authentic pizza, and it's on our side of town! It turns out this place has earned its chops. The proprietors are "pizzaioli napolitanos." They understand the beauty and simplicity of a properly made pizza. They understand the dough, from its recipe to its execution. They understand that you don't need to offer hundreds of varieties of pizza, when a dozen or so, well-made, will satisfy. Their menu features Neapolitan pizzas, calzones, lasagna and salads. We opted for the Quattro Stagioni (four seasons) pizza, featuring a spicy salami, sweet ham, artichoke hearts and mushrooms with mozzarella, basil and a tomato sauce worthy of its Neapolitan heritage. The thin crust had the perfect amount of burn marks, courtesy of their wood-fired oven. Our Caprese Salad of tomato slices interspersed with mozzarella, fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and olive oil was spot-on. My wife loved the light Italian wine they recommended to her to accompany the pizza. Yum! Our server, Andrea, a young man also from Naples, KNOWS his stuff and was a delight to talk to. We were pressed for time (our movie was starting soon, a ten-minute walk from the restaurant), so we skipped dessert. Next time we'll plan accordingly, and ensure we have ample time to enjoy both the food AND the ambiance. The staff is warm and engaging - we really do look forward to our next visit!

We tried the pepperoni (10 year old chose that) and the BBQ the second time. The pizza was impressive, especially for a country not known for good pizza. It is thin crust. The medium was plenty big for two people and was only 9 euro. The staff is friendly, and that is amazing considering that it is 1000 degrees inside the place. But it is worth trying, especially if you can take it home...if not, go to my primo Juanjo's house. The terraza is a perfect pair for this solid pizza place!

The service was great, friendly, and the food was fantastic. We are in Barcelona for a week and have already made plans to come back. My wife had tropicale pizza (Hawaiian for North Americans) which was delicious. Large, tasty cuts of ham and delicious chunks of pineapple. I had the Carbonara pasta with tagliatelle noodles. It was incredible. A simple dish that was packed with flavour. I can't wait to try more stuff there. Oh, the best part, it came with a free glass of wine each, and free desert or coffee. All for 20€. Highly recommend it for those of you who like to venture off the boring tourist routes.

We were hungry & stopped by at two aforementioned popular restaurants where the queue was too long. By this point while walking to La Capricciosa, I was praying there would not be a queue otherwise starvation would have pursued. And thankfully there was not a wait! We quickly ordered the Pizza Barcelona and Lasagna. The pizza was delicious, it was thin and crunchy with the cheese perfectly melted, how a pizza should be. I personally love arugula on pizza, topping it off with excellent Spanish jamon makes it that much better. The lasagna was homemade and delish, but a tad salty. During lunch, the meal comes with a free drink and dessert when you order two or more items.
