I tried two dishes which were by far the best crepes I have ever eaten. The smoked salmon crème crepe and pear liquor crepe were mind-blowingly delicious! My third dish, the three cheese crepe was very strong and I would only recommend it for a true cheese lover. The smoked salmon crème and lime crepe was full of flavor in every bite, even the edges that didn't seem to have any salmon or crème. The salmon was smoked perfectly and I found myself savoring every bite. I would order a double next time I have the opportunity. The pear liquor crepe has delicate slices or pear and a sweet sauce that could rival any desert plate. Even if you don't think you're in the mood for a desert crepe, I urge you not to pass this dish by! La Crepe au Carre has the usual odd hours with a gap just after lunch so be aware of the time before your visit and ask for a WiFi password if you aren't too engaged in the atmosphere to remember. A young girl ordered coconut and the server gave her Cookies N Nut. The young girl tried the incorrect ice cream and realized it was not coconut. When she asked for the coconut flavor, the server took the cookies N nut iced cream off of her cone and put it back in the tub after the young girl had already licked it! Disgusting! This is completely unsanitary. After, an older man was trying some samples when I realized that between various samples, the server was wiping his spoon with a napkin and sticking it into other flavors for him to try. I can count 3 different ice creams that were contaminated with saliva at this establishment in the 5 minutes I was there waiting. I am so appalled. The health department should be contacted and the curly/wavy haired served should not be working in food distribution. The owner should address this and rectify this situation.
