I'll give this review from my American perspective, but I was there with my girlfriend, who grew up in BA, and her mother.
Argentina "maps" the cow differently that we do in the US, so we don't call the various cuts the same things. So I can't say I had a filet or ribeye. And I'm actually not a big steak eater (but when in Argentina...) My steak was huge, cooked to perfection, and high quality meat. Three of us got steaks, and all were amazing. We also had some fried beef "meat" empanadas, which were also amazing, and of course, we had a great bottle of Malbec and table bread.
The service was typical, good BA service--servers are paid more, and get tipped less than we're used to in the US. So the service is not "hovering"--you're left to eat. But when it's good (and it was here), it's attentive, and courteous, and professional. The atmosphere is very relaxed --Lomas de Zemora is a little less packed than some other parts of town--and this was just another amazing Argentine restaurant experience. Great food, relaxing around a table with wine and friends/family.
And the whole meal was roughly $60 US dollars. Trust me: each of our steaks was a $30+ steak in a US restaurant.
