They had just opened and I walked in to peer at their selections. Horchata! Sold. And then Turron. Ice cream selected for 2.70. The Horchata featured chufa's distinct flavor quite well. Llao Llao is pretty similar to Smooy in that there are really only four flavors and a ton of other toppings. I got the natural/regular flavor in a mini size and also had chocolate M&M like candies added onto my yogurt. The yogurt here was pretty good, very smooth and rich tasting. The chocolate candies were just chocolate-y enough, but not as good as the ones from Smooy. I would probably try some other things here including their plethora of random sauces which all looked pretty decadent. Service was quick and efficient.

In the early afternoon, they're much more focused on their cafe business than ice cream. The ice cream sits beneath silver canisters, so you can't inspect the product before deciding. The ice creams were smooth and stretched apart like bucky balls. In the end, it was fun to tease and stretch this ice cream with a spoon, but I left feeling flavor-empty.
