A great, friendly pub with a good restaurant (lots of fish straight off the trawlers on Bexhill and Hastings seafronts) I've been going here man and boy since 1990. The beer is always well conditioned and regular's are Harveys, Bombadier and other top ales. Landlady Mindy does front of house and her husband Shaun is the chef -you're always guaranteed a warm welcome. Oh and if you spot my Dad, John tell him dinner's on the table, he's the bald chap nursing a pint of Harveys.

The function rooms are light and airy, with contemporary furnishings and a large bay window, and it is pleasantly quiet and easy to park in this area of Hove. At a recent informal meeting, twelve of us were comfortably seated with plenty of room, and served snacks and drinks by very polite and friendly staff. There is also a secluded garden behind the hotel, which, I am told, looks beautiful in the summer months. Although only a guest for a couple of hours, I was very impressed by The Claremont, and would certainly recommend their services to other businesses.
