It's conveniently close to Calais (70 miles) and Boulogne to make a perfect relaxing week-end break. (And they are not fazed by having 12 friendly bikers as guests). The accommodation is in a small, converted Priest's House, with the former stables housing 4 en-suite guests rooms, and the main building housing a lovely suite (bedroom, bathroom and small lounge) and dining room. There's a small garden, with chairs and tables outside in the summer. The main rooms are full of antiques, as the proprietor is also an antiques dealer. Adjacent to the church, the setting among rolling fields and trees is incredibly peaceful, although the church bells do ring regularly! The rooms are rustic, with items of antiques, wood or tiled floors and rugs. Some rooms are more snug than others, but all have electric heating you can control. There's a large gravel car-park which is very private - the B&B is effectively at the end of its own private road - so you need not worry about the safety of your vehicle. It has also stood up reasonably well to having bikes parked on it, but to be absolutely sure you bike stays upright, bring a foot-pad. You'll need your own transport to get there - there's no convenient public transport. All meals are eaten in the dining room around one or two tables, so you get to meet the other guests, unless you book all the rooms. We've met some interesting people over the years! Breakfast is an ample affair, and very French: huge rustic rolls, brioche and croissants, fabby home-made preserves and rich coffee (or tea if you must). A 3-course dinner is provided when there are enough guests, and the quality is excellent for the price, although you tend to get what's served (ie no menu, and they only provide dinner for staying guests. They will substitute fish for meat if you tell them in advance). For a small supplement, you can go for a cheese-board - strongly recommended, though you may not be able to move afterwards. They have a decent cellar (wine is extra). If they are not doing dinner, there are a few excellent restaurants in nearby villages.
