This is a gorgeous little Pizza Restaurant, must visit if in the area. The Vegetarian Calazone is mouth watering.

I don't use the term meal of a lifetime lightly…read more Our tour guide recommended this place. He is now my hero. I can't describe it without using the term perfect for everything. But let me put it this way. My son who is notoriously picky and has been a pain in the butt about food the whole trip went absolutely crazy for everything he ate here. He loved it to the point of giddiness. And mom and dad are calling this the meal of a lifetime. I mean I don't know for sure if there's better pizza in Italy. Maybe there is. If there is, take me to it. Because at this moment this is the best pizza I've put in my mouth. My wife swooned over the gnocchi in rosesse sauce and my son was in heaven over his ravioli. I tried both and the flavors are simply perfect. I may spend the rest of my life trying to top this meal. Or maybe I shouldn't and just accept that I found paradise for a foodie. And the view of the bridge and village was just perfect. Thank you to this place for giving me a memory I will treasure.

I'm American and when I visit these places it makes me sad to think how my country treats one another. What a blessing to spend time at a place where there is no political crap and just friendly conversation about life. Cheers Il Borgo and Italy.

What have I been doing with my life for the last 30 plus years? Eating fake pizza apparently…read more.. That was my takeaway after eating the most delicious pizza I've ever had in my life at Pizza Pinnochio. Tucked away in an ally in Sanremo, this place is serving up some pizza that can only make you shake your head is disbelief. It's a small mom and pop type of place and they are as a friendly as they come. Even though they didn't speak a lick of English and we didn't speak a lick of Italian, the waitress guided us as best she could through the menu and I ordered a two personal pizzas: one with peppers and one with prosciutto. The pizzas were prepared from start to finish in less than 10 minutes and were very thin crust. The cheese was bubbling and the taste was unreal. It's was the most delicious piece of pizza id ever had. Not to sound cliche, but it was literally melting in my mouth. I enjoyed it so much so that i ordered another pie. If you ever find yourself in Sanremo, this is a hands down must visit restaurant. I promise this will be the best pizza you've ever tasted in your life... Well at least if you're from the US.

We were not disappointed; the pizza was indeed amazing. I ordered the artichoke and grana pizza and was blown away. The wife had the Diavolo and enjoyed it immensely as well. The crust was thin, perfectly cooked, and delicious, with that smoky flavor you only get from a wood-fired oven. The surroundings were standard neighborhood eatery: low-brow and relaxed. No danger of a Michelin star appearing anytime soon. The waitress was quite friendly and the staff seemed capable of conversing in several languages (I heard pretty good English, German, French, and of course, Italian). As a bonus, the restroom, though basic, was clean, fully functional, and well stocked with soap and paper towels. Having eaten in many similar Italian eateries, this was quite a rarity. Check your bill carefully. Whether by accident or design, they charged me for an extra drink that we hadn't ordered. No biggie, but the only blemish on an otherwise pleasant and tasty evening.
