No matter how anxious or stressed my pets are, they visibly relax the moment he begins handling them. It's something you have to witness to understand. Dr. Adler has also performed multiple surgeries on my animals, all with positive outcomes. His surgical skill, attention to detail, and thorough follow-up gave me complete confidence. Beyond his calm and compassionate demeanor, Dr. Adler is exceptionally intelligent, analytical and deeply committed to his craft. He stays current with clinical research, new therapies, and veterinary advancements, and it shows in the way he practices medicine. He doesn't just rely on old-school knowledge....he is constantly learning, reading veterinary journals and blogs, and applying the most up-to-date, evidence-based care. I originally discovered Dr. Adler when he worked in Eagle Rock, where he was already very well known and highly respected. The staff was really friendly and inviting as soon as we entered the facility. I was instantly acknowledged by the receptionist. He informed me that since I was a walk-in, they would assist me as soon as possible after I gave him a brief explanation of what was happening with my dog.They told me to enter the room, so I didn't have to wait long. As I waited, a veterinary technician arrived and questioned me about my dog's symptoms, among other things. About ten minutes later, the veterinarian arrived and examined her in the room. He informed me that she might have pyometra, but further testing was required to be certain. Unfortunately, my dog had to have surgery right away after being diagnosed with pyometra. My dog is everything to me; I've had her for twelve years, since I was eighteen ( I'm 30 now) I would go to any lengths to save her, even if the treatment was costly.After having surgery, fast forward one month later , Roxy is fully recovered. The staff asked me how I was feeling and gave my dog great attention. They were really attentive. Anyone who loves and cares for their dog and wants them to get the best care and attention should visit this place, in my opinion. After worrying about my dog's teeth for a long time, and honestly worrying how I'd even afford it, I finally brought her to La Quality Hacienda Pet Clinic for extractions, and I'm so grateful I did. On a recommendation from someone I trust completely, Summer at Pawsitively Clean Pet Dental, I drove from Culver City to La Puente and it was completely worth it. Dr. Adler was calm, gentle, knowledgeable, and reassuring. I could tell right away he knew what he was doing, and he was so good with my little dog. She healed incredibly fast afterward. She's a small dog and small dogs will have teeth issues eventually esp if not maintained properly. (hence the value of Pawsitively clean Pet Dental!!!) she ended up having over 15 teeth extracted!! and still she had her appetite back (for soft food of course) literally the next day! The whole staff was kind and compassionate during a stressful time, and I really appreciated the care they gave both of us. I moved into the IE about 2 years ago and I had been looking for a quality and cost effective clinic for my furry companions. I tried a couple local ones but because of the delay in getting an appt or just lack of access to certain equipment I continued to go to my original vet in Hollywood. I was unsuccessful in finding a quick and reliable vet UNTIL I had an emergency with my sweet senior cat. I looked for an urgent care and LA Quality Pet Care had good reviews, seemed very friendly over the phone when I called and were taking walk-ins on a Sunday afternoon. My senior girl had developed an ulcer on her eye while we were away and was clearly in pain. They took her in immediately and provided pain relief and treatment. We returned for a check up a week later and though she had improved it was recommended to remove her eye that day. My cat had been blind the majority of her life so she would not be losing vision just tissue. We agreed and within 3 hours she was back home post surgery. The next day she was practically back to her full self! We returned for a teeth cleaning for my puppy weeks later and that was also a quick and cost effective experience. This place was really disappointing, which is crazy considering they have so many good reviews. Maybe our experience was just a one-off, but nonetheless it just wasn't good. Our dog had a tear in his ear that wouldn't stop bleeding after a day, so we brought him in on Sunday. There was only a few people there when we arrived around 1pm. We got checked in and waited maybe 20 minutes before we were taken into a room, which wasn't bad. We waited probably another 45 minutes for anyone to come in after that. The vet told us it would be best to get the ear cleaned up and stapled, so we were okay with that. His bandage is off by this point since he had to look at the ear, so he's bleeding in the room with nothing to cover it. They go on to take his weight outside the room, allowing him to bleed all over the floors. When they brought him back to the room, I had to try holding our leftover gauze to his ear as they just said it was fine. They didn't offer anything to help us stop the bleeding for the time being. When they take him to another room, they let us know it would be 30 minutes to an hour max. We wait in the car. By the time all of this is done and we get into the car to wait, it's already 2:35 or so. We wait an hour and realize the phone number to call us back was wrong, which was completely our fault, so we went in to fix it. At this time they told us they were just finishing up and he should be out soon. So we wait again. After maybe another half an hour, we go and check again. He isn't ready. Except this time, they tell us they hadn't even started working on him yet because there was a cat out. So they were waiting for the cat to be gone (this is a vet??). They told us it should be another couple hours and they would text us when we could come pick him up, so we head home for a bit. I really wish they would've told us this from the beginning because we could've gone home that whole time and waited for him there. Around 6:30, we are finally able to pick him up. The lady at the desk took the payment and told us several times to have a good day before we even had everything. We needed to ask for an invoice. Then we realized they hadn't even given us the antibiotics we paid for, so she had to go get those filled as well. Overall, this experience was exhausting and frustrating to say the least. While the staff was nice, we won't be returning. I really hope they can do better in the future. read more

My last appointment was canceled because it was the last hour before closing. I accepted that. I am busy as it is with life but when I call back to make another appointment week by week to find out there's construction or closed for holidays. They are closed for multiple days straight. This arrogant so-called vet did permanent damage to my dog. I guess the bright side is he did not kill my dog. You've been warned.

I took my sister's dog here after she cut her paw on glass. They put her under anesthesia to treat the wound, but when they brought her back to me, they hadn't even bandaged it--despite it being a fresh, open wound. Meanwhile, other dogs were walking around the same lobby area. To make matters worse, they simply handed me medication with no explanation of aftercare. When I confronted them about it, they finally put me in a room to go over the details--something that should have been done from the start. Then, they had the audacity to inform me that I would have to pay extra just to have the wound properly bandaged. I refused, and when they brought her back, they had even forgotten to put her cone back on. Photo are after they released her to me. And them cleaning the blood. I do not recommend this vet. It's the small things that make the biggest difference, and their lack of basic care and attention is unacceptable. 2/24/25 When I arrived to pick her up, she was released to me without any explanation of her post-treatment condition. It wasn't until I noticed blood coming from her paw that I had to demand an explanation. At no point before discharge did the staff take the time to place us in a room and go over post-treatment care or reasoning. If you are charging for bandaging, that is an additional treatment and should be disclosed upfront. You are billing for services, which means completing the treatment properly--not leaving pet owners to discover issues on their own. The doctor only provided an explanation after I called out the office for their lack of communication. This is unacceptable, and pet owners deserve better. The effort put into responding to reviews should be the same effort dedicated to providing clear communication and quality care for both pets and their owners. I took my amazing cat here to get care because he looked super sick. The day before this happened he was an energetic and happy little boy. But in a blink, the next morning he was drooling, unable to pee or poop, could barely walk, depressed, crying, and tumbling over. We rushed him to the vet, as we believed he had been poisoned and needed proper care ASAP, however this vet did not help at all. All they did was a 15 minute-ish check up, tried to charge almost $2,000, and prescribed a $170 medicine for him to take, even though he was unable to digest properly. We checked up on him around every 30 minutes to make sure he was doing ok, but when I got up to check before I went to bed, he was laying strangely and I immediately panicked because he looked dead. As I had assumed, he was unfortunately passed away and cold. It was the most heartbreaking thing to feel in such a long time. I loved my kitty so much and to know that he could have survived if they actually made an effort, hurts me more than anything. Please do not come here for emergency purposes or even at all since they charge so much for nonsense. I'm grieving so bad. Protect your pets please. :( read more

Just make sure you get a comprehensive quote on the possible procedures and treatment. Write them down the exact prices, who you spoke with, etc and quote them back to them when you get there so there are no surprises and everything is clear from the outset! Since this is both a clinic and urgent care you might need to do a drop off and they will call you when your pet is ready for pickup. So be ready to wait. To be fair, then again, there are not a lot of urgent care places that will treat your pet and do all the tests within one day. Prices are reasonable if you stick to what they called you. Exercise common sense and avoid optional additional tests, especially if you have an older pet that may not need them. Highly recommend. read more

The people here were super rude. The receptionist yelled at me about something as soon as I came in and didn't even greet me with a good morning and it was over clarifying my phone number. She couldn't have been ruder. They overcharged us for the pet visit and the vet was stupid with me. Another thing is that they didn't give us enough pet medicine and were so rude. The vet's helper was rude. After we paid, they didn't email the receipt or even say good-bye or thank you. My advice personally, never come to this ghetto clinic. This was so weird and suspicious how am I going to know if he really got his shots ?! This a late review post.... In July, my 13 yr old mini schnauzer, Deja, wasn't well. She had to be carried up and down stairs, she would urinate on herself. It was heartbreaking! I felt horrible for her. There's no need for further details. I called LA Quality Pet Care explained Deja's situation. Without hesitation they said to take her in. I walked with her, they took us to a room. She was immediately evaluated. The Doctor was so caring, gentle and kind. My babygirl Deja did not leave with us. She was in kidney failure. My reason for the 3 stars is as follows. Pro's: -The doctor is very knowledgeable, and attentive to your pets. -Great bedside manner. -Majority of staff are very kind. For the cons I will be more in depth with my experience here. I came due to the fact that a supposed "Voucher" that would help offset the cost of Spay/neuter service was available. I was told that this could be up to $300, and the typical cost of the procedure is about $580 give or take, with it having the chance of being up to $800, if there are complications. Upon applying for the voucher, and getting denied several times because this location wasn't a "Vendor", I was finally told by staff that apparently this voucher is only for "emergencies"? If that was the case, then why wasn't I told that to begin with as I wouldn't have wasted my time applying?? I was given a 10% discount on my bill for the "inconvenience". Great. Something is better than nothing. In total, my wife and I ended up paying over $800 for the services that were rendered here. We were both grateful that we had access to Care credit, as our finances are a bit tight right now due to her being 5 months pregnant. Even with that mishap, I would've given this place four stars. However, after my pets follow up appointment today I was misgendered by the Hispanic kid working up front. He "Miss" d me? Bro needs to get his eyes checked. I'm a 34 yr old bearded man, with a deep voice. Yeah I'm on the shorter end, but come on now. Not sure what his deal was. I will end this review with the following, if you're blind, and are unsure of someone's gender refrain from using pronouns altogether, especially in a work setting. HONEST & KNOWLEDGABLE I had a fantastic experience with Dr. E and everyone at Hacienda Animal Clinic. They are a NO NONSENSE clinic, although they may not be the "sweetest" to deal with, THEY GET THE JOB DONE!!! I adopted LOLA about 3 weeks ago and took her to see Dr. E. He is definitely an expert at his craft. Although my fur baby was very nervous he was able to handle her very well. I used to come here with all my pets when it was Hacienda Animal Clinic with Dr.E and praised it as the best vet in LP. On Sunday 11/30/25 we desperately needed a vet for my daughters 9month old cat. Thinking this place would have continued to deliver pet care with a high integrity , I didn't hesitate to look elsewhere and walked in to have our cat evaluated as he was throwing up, had diarrhea his urine appeared green and he was not his usual hyper self. After a quick 7 min exam we were told he was dehydrated and needed lab work and X-rays and could be done at the price of $1,300. Like most, vet visits are usually unexpected. I requested the absolute bare minimum to get him through whatever he was feeling and get him at a stable stage and I would return for the rest as the cost was not something I was ready for at that moment. I asked the assistant if what I requested at the bare minimum would be ok. She left to ask the Doctor, came back and said ok, just sign that we went over it and you declined. We went home with our beloved Bowie and some meds. 6 hours later, Bowie passed away. The next day I called with a calm demeanor, crying and just asked to speak with the doctor to get some answers of what it could have possibly been, if at any point during his exam there was any indication that perhaps he came in contact with something toxic. I was told the doctor was not available and that I would get a call back. I never received a call. This was an absolute nightmare for my daughter and myself. Dr. E would have NEVER!! My daughter is devastated at the loss of our cat. Should we ever need a vet in the future, I will NEVER consider this place again! read more
