I came to their Thursday night service. This church is currently situated inside a theatre on the third floor of a building. There is a lift in addition to stairs. The location is convenient with a subway station literally right next door. When I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by Jose (found out later he's the Associate Pastor). While the worship team isn't as glamorous as the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, the worship was heartfelt and spirit filled. You can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit among the congregation. I much preferred the more intimate worship setting here compared to the showy and flashy BT Choir. Pastor Mike delivered God's word truthfully and taught the Bible book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse so nothing was taken out of context. My soul was fed and satisfied. People here are diverse and everyone is super friendly. You can tell that people here truly love Jesus and are ministering in this city that is hostile toward God. When I return to NYC I will be back again! If you are looking for a good Bible teaching church in Manhattan and grow in your relationship with Jesus, this is the place to be.

How should I write a review on a church? Should one even review a church? I honestly do not know…read more However, I decided to write a review because I really want people to know about this church. My review will be incomplete and perhaps slightly inaccurate, but I will try to give you an idea. I recently moved to New York and really didn't know which church to go to. I am Christian, so in theory, I should be able to go to most churches, but I do not feel comfortable in either a very 'energetic' church (if you know what I mean, you probably do) or a super formal church. I think Redeemer is right in the middle of those two. The services are very well organized and always hit me. Both Tim Keller and David Bisgrove are really good speakers. They adapt their message to the fast-paced and prosperous living in today's Manhattan, and give you guidance which you can immediately put to practice in your daily life. On the other hand, the church is also very open and non-pretentious. For instance, skeptics are welcome and I also feel comfortable coming here in my jeans. All in all, I really found my New York church and, if you are considering to go here, gladly encourage you to take a look as well!

Huge space in the back even though front looks small from the streets. I love the beautiful but simple ambiance. Look very clean. Quiet Music. I do suggest owner make the front more inviting, just like the inside. Make it look happier as the food they give to us. I have walked by it many times, but never came in. I didn't even know it was in business (maybe because of covid). I couldn't see inside from the streets. Love the restaurant. I'll be coming frequently.
