La Postreria is a fancy dessert spot that also serves non-sweet food like sandwiches, coffees, etc. My wife, five-year-old daughter and I went for dessert on a Friday evening in July and got seats right away. Here's our experience: 1) Food: The dessert is beautiful and definitely impresses. However, we didn't love the flavor of our desserts. The "Caramelia" was not very good. The flavors didn't combine well and the "Cacaotal" was fine. Our daughter didn't finish hers, which says a lot. 2) Service: It's friendly, but it did take awhile for us to get our check. 3) Space: It's an open-air concept with seats on the patio and along the bar. Very good, creative desserts. You can get many of them to go, including the excellent macarons. There is a limited breakfast and lunch menu of sandwiches and salads, which are nice and fresh. Very good coffee and hot chocolate. Service is a bit uneven. read more

In our 4 days in Guadalajara we went here twice. It is incredible! The food and especially the many desserts we tried are all so good, I still cant believe it. Even though they dont mention it, you can also order large cakes for parties. I tried a cake from a pasteleria a few blocks away and it was really terrible. So support good food and go here! read more

Disappointing. I had high expectations because it was awarded as the "best sweet experience" in Mexico. I had breakfast at this place. Food was ok but nothing you can't get somewhere else. Service was not good. Our server seemed to be on a bad mood and barely spoke to us. read more

This place is heaven! We had the "small" tasting menu, 3 desserts and 3 small bites (the desserts are for two, the small bites we had one for each). Every one of them was incredible! Great creative presentation, and a variety of flavors you will relish in. I'm a sweets person myself so I can't say enough good things about this place. Go and try if for yourself. Amazing desserts in this small shop! We made a point to try out this place after reading the reviews. Their Agua frescas are very fresh with a little added twist in flavor. Their desserts are nothing short of amazing! We have tried 5 star dessert eateries in Beverly Hills in California and Las Vegas, but this place wins hands down. A combination of very unique flavors, and the presentation is so imaginative! Bring a group of friend or family to try this place out, there are so many interesting treats that you need to try! Check out the photos online and see what tickles your palate ahead of time. They could do with more friendly and enthusiastic staff to point out the many amazing treats hidden in the mere wordy description in the menu. Our waitress did not seem too bothered unfortunately.
