I'm not big into writing reviews but I felt this review is needed and will help someone out there looking to buy furniture. La Place will definitely be my go to place once our house is built. Their customer service rocks! I worked with Ari who was my salesman. I bought some furniture and discovered a minor blemish. I received a discount and went ahead and bought the furniture. A few days later Ari called me to check the furniture to make sure the blemish didn't increase in Size. It actually did and Ari offered me a refund for the chairs that had the stain grow. First of all he didn't have to offer that to me. But in doing so, I know he's a sales person that puts the customer first! We 100% recommend seeing Ari at La Place in Destin of you are looking to upgrade the furniture in your home or short term rental. Hope this helps you out. read more

Excellent customer service and high quality furniture. We purchased a root wood sofa table and teak dresser. Both are absolutely amazing. The associates that waited on us were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They even offered to help us move our pieces after they got off work. Luckily we have help however the offer is really going the extra mile! This is a great store with great prices. read more

I'm only selecting one star because it won't let me select zero. We bought some outdoor furniture a year and a half ago. My wife noticed that it was coming apart on the front and so she called the person that sold it to us - Amanda- and informed her of what was happening and asked if there was a warranty. Amanda said there was a one year warranty , however, the furniture had to be maintained and kept under a covered area. Amanda not only sold us the pieces but also personally delivered them to us and placed them under our patio area. At that time she said the furniture would be fine. Fast forward to today, she said she would call the owner of the store and see what could be done and call my wife back with the information. She never called and let us know what the outcome was so my wife started calling and finally got a hold of her. They said the warranty was expired and there was nothing they could do. My wife explained to her again that Amanda approved of the placement and it would be ok, which Amanda vehemently started denying. There was more conversation , my wife told Amanda that she had approved of where our furniture was placed and that Amanda started elevating her voice and told my wife she didn't say that, and she wasn't gonna take that kind of talk. She started shifting the blame to my wife saying that my wife really wanted the furniture. Then she hung up on my wife. Terrible, Terrible way to do business, good customer service telling you Just what you want to hear while making a purchase, but that is where it ends. If you are looking for temporary furniture that may or may not hold up then this is the place for you. We won't do business there again and will not make a good recommendation. The fact is, the pieces were misrepresented and sold to us under what we believe is with a lack of good service. We shopped almost every furniture store in the Destin area and even went to Pensacola. However, the quality and pricing at La Place was unmatched. The sales people are extremely nice and the delivery team was exactly on time. A very rare occurrence nowadays. read more

I have bought seven different pieces of furniture from La Place, and could not be happier. They are all either solid teak or mahogany, and very well made. The prices are excellent for what you get, and the sales people, especially Rosalind, are wonderful. They are not pushy, and let you look around as much as you like. I returned a piece that did not fit -- no problem. The store is a destination. It smells like exotic woods, and it is huge. If you buy a piece that will fit in your car, you are welcome to take it straight home from the showroom. If they have to order it, it is there the next day. The furniture in the store is artful and beautiful, and extremely well made. Many pieces are one of a kind, and the store is full of art and carvings. Even if you are not in need of anything, you need to go to this store just to look around and marvel at the beautiful designs. read more

The furniture is beautiful but the customer service is terrible. I bought a table in the Gulfport store. Before it was shipped, I changed my mind. The store said due to inventory, they could not give me a refund - just a credit to be honored at any store. I checked on my credit when in Destin later and while I shopped, they looked it up and verified it was good. I couldn't decide what to get and left with reassurance it would be honored when I was ready. I waited too long. When I went back, the sales person ignored me until I approached her. I advised her that I had a credit I was ready to use. I would not have liked it but could have understood if she had told me there was some policy about it and I had waited too long to use the credit. That is not what happened. She told me that the Gulfport store had closed and she argued that what I had told her was false. Her attitude was aggressive and accusing. She told me the person I described from Gulfport had been a thief and insinuated that included me. I emailed the store about the whole problem but I have never heard back from anyone. read more
