My husband and I split the quinoa appetizer that was as beautiful as it was delicious. It was colorful with different textures, including purple cabbage and sesame seeds. The balsamic vinaigrette was astounding. I could have left supremely happy after that. But our entrees were just as amazing. My husband enjoyed a risotto dish that was cooked in a rich, delightful tomato sauce. I haven't had tomatoes that wonderful since I picked them off the vine at home last summer -- and even then, this sauce rivaled my own! My curry was perfectly seasoned. Hidden within were lovely julienne haricot verts, sliced almonds, and onions. I wanted to eat more. I wanted to hug the chef. Even though I did neither, I will find a way to come back before returning home. The desserts were certainly tempting...seems like a good enough excuse to me!

My review is for the El Brote Vegetal, which is the name they call the front area. We ordered soya cafe con leches (which is spanish for soy lattes). They were smaller than the lattes you get in the states. I'd consider them more capaccino-sized, but they were very tasty. We also purchased some violife cheese, some soyrizo, and some flavored baked tofu to take home. The fridge where they have vegan foods for sale is small, but very inclusive. They didn't have wifi, so we didn't stay long, but I would definitely recommend this place to any vegans passing through Zaragoza.

Their dishes are unique but Spanish inspired and they use the freshest produce of the season. Wine, bread, and water are included as well. Make a reservation if you're coming with a group of people!

The cupcake was a carrot cupcake, which is one of my favorite flavors! Sadly, it tasted hard and dry. It tasted the way my cupcakes taste after 3 days of sitting out. When I go to a grocery store, I expect to maybe not get the freshest baked goods, but this was a bakery! They specialize in baked goods! Why would they sell us something that was 3 days old without a warning? And not only that, but they tried to upsell us a second one! We ordered only one, because we were already ordering numerous other things, and the guy told us that he had another one if we wanted it. He was trying to get us to buy not one, but 2 of his 3-day old cupcakes at full-price! WTF! I haven't tried the third item yet which is an apple tart, but honestly, I don't really have high hopes. If you're looking for a dry stale baked good that you can dip in coffee or tea, then this place is for you. If you're looking for quality vegan baked goods, keep looking.

Literally in the middle of nowhere, the hotel in which Goya is located as well as the bloc of adjacent hotels just suddenly appear out of thin air as you drive closer. Very square, very mod, and in such a crazy color palette. Where are we, Legoland? The buffet options are very limited and are pretty so-so in my humble opinion. The food is really nothing to write all the way home from Spain. But when you have to feed 1,800 people I guess we can't be too picky on every single stop. The "meat" is pretty bland and I'm not even 100% sure it IS meat. It reminded me of Vegan style because of the texture and super thin slices. However, service is ridiculously on point. Totally unexpected! Staff is really friendly and helpful even though this is a buffet setup. Despite the crazy chaos of lunchtime, they are able to manage the entire crowd and still project a calm vibe. Wouldn't come here again for a return visit but at least if you eat here you can leave full, although maybe not too satisfied. DATE TIP: Who likes bland questionable meat? Nobody.

We had the set lunch. You could order the short or long set lunch, and most of us got the short one which included an appetizer, a main and a drink. The long set menu included dessert. There were several choices for the both the appetizer and main and everyone was really pleased with their dishes! I loved my dish. I got an eggplant dish which was rolled up with mushrooms inside, baked in cheese. It was awesome. Drinks choices included wine if you like (typical in Spain, so that's cool). I happily had some white wine with my lunch and most of our table enjoyed the red. They bring over the whole bottle! Only two of us had the white, and we still got the bottle to share. The ambiance and decor in here is really cool too, and the servers were really nice. I'm not currently a vegetarian and I really enjoyed this restaurant! I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone, but if you're a vegetarian, this restaurant is a must in Zaragoza! It's hip, cute and tasty!
