    Some awesome dishes, some very bland dishes - but great service and great views…read more Quality: 4 Value: 4 Service: 5 Ambience: 5 We really enjoyed our dinner here, even if some dishes were much better than others. The crudo mixto platter to share was good - especially the scampi, gamberi rossi, and langostine. The fish tartars were alright; the sea bass tartar was awesome, the tuna tartar was good, but the salmon tartar was not great. The polpo in pignata was out of this world; it was a complex and hearty stew with perfectly cooked octopus in it. It had very attentive servers, and the nonna herself who cooks the dishes came out to say hello to every table - quite remarkable and endearing. Things I would never say to nonna... The cozze, riso, e patate (mussels, rice, and potatoes) were a little briny but otherwise quite bland. The fave e ciccorie (favas and chicories) were downright bad, with absolutely zero flavor. It seems like the fave are like American grits - bland starch that require a lot of seasoning to taste good. Il piatto di crudo misto da condividere era buono, specialmente gli scampi, i gamberi rossi e gli scampi. Le tartare di pesce andavano bene; la tartare di branzino era eccezionale, la tartare di tonno era buona, ma la tartare di salmone non era eccezionale. Il polpo in pignata era fuori di questo mondo; era uno stufato complesso e sostanzioso con polpo cucinato alla perfezione. Aveva server molto attenti e la nonna stessa che cucina i piatti è uscita per salutare ogni tavolo - davvero notevole e accattivante. Cose che non direi mai a nonna... Le cozze, riso, e patate (cozze, riso e patate) erano un po' salate ma per il resto piuttosto insipidi. Le fave e ciccorie (fave e cicorie) erano decisamente pessime, con un sapore assolutamente zero. Sembra che i preferiti siano come le semole americane: amido insipido che richiede molto condimento per avere un buon sapore.

Not only was everything done quite well but the Mama in the kitchen kept coming out to make sure we were happy with out meals and asking if there was anything she could fix or adjust to suit us.....everything was perfect. We were both satisfied with out meals and decided it was one of the better meals we had on our two week wanderings around southern Italy. We would gladly come back....if you are buying.
