I always sat outside (if the weather wasn't ok for outdoors, I stayed home) and I never ate there. My wife and I would usually come home from work and walk down to Le Wallace which was only a short stroll from our small apartment. After an aperitif we would then go hame for dinner. We didn't eat out much because of the expense and the fact that the dinner hour starts at 7:30 pm at the earliest, service was usually agonizingly slow, and therefore we would get home late and we had to go to work the next morning. My French colleagues rarely dined out. Anyway my place of work had a cafeteria and a good lunch was subsidized and very reasonable. Service was never particularly friendly but that is not unusual in France. We always got what we ordered and we weren't there to make friends with the staff anyway. Unlike the US you can order something and stay as long as you wish without being harassed. I highly recommend Le Wallace for an aperitif.

Completely overrated. Go there for a drink eventually, nothing else! Reserve a table accross the street at Emile's for the best Cassoulet in town, you will be treated accordingly!
