The "Greek eggs" dish with yogurt is actually çılbır, a traditional Turkish breakfast dish (poached eggs served over yogurt, often with garlic and chili butter). It's been part of Turkish cuisine for centuries. As a Turkish American, it was disappointing to see it labeled Greek, especially with "Greek yogurt" on the menu -- that term itself is often used generically in the U.S. for strained yogurt, when the style actually originates from Turkey. I'd really appreciate it if the menu credited the dish correctly as Turkish. Getting the origins right matters, especially for dishes that carry real cultural history. Otherwise, the food itself was excellent and the service was great. Just hoping this gets a name change

There is an English menu available online but not in the restaurant. Here's where I get confused. The service is excellent, full white tablecloth treatment, old-school European style. No detail is missed. Then we get to the food. It's really pretty good, all told. Here's where the attention to details goes sideways. The bread rolls felt as if they had been sitting since yesterday. The beans, although delicious, had sat around on the plate long enough to be room temperature and develop a crust. The totopos stuck in the beans were in the beans long enough to get soggy. The rice served alongside the moles was barely above room temperature and a bit dried out. All the food, in general, needed to arrive from the kitchen much warmer. Essentially, anything that could be made ahead of time was, and then left sitting out. It doesn't fit and I don't get it.
