From the moment we arrived the space felt warm, welcoming, and impeccably curated; it's clear Angela and her team have created something very special in Southern Pines. My appointment included a haircut, scalp treatment, facial, full-body massage, leg + Brazilian wax, manicure, and pedicure. Kaitlyn thoughtfully crafted a customized package that met everything I'd been dreaming about -- exactly the kind of attentive planning you want in a full-service spa. Erin, Destiny, Giselle, Brianna, Kelly, and Angela were gentle, skilled, and professional at every step. The scalp treatment and facial were deeply relaxing and noticeably restorative; my hair, skin, and posture felt visibly improved after the massage. The waxing and nail services were meticulous and comfortable -- no corners cut, just care. Beyond the excellent technical work, what moved me most was the atmosphere of true hospitality: staff treated me like family while honoring my privacy and comfort. I'd been feeling hidden away and less like myself lately, and the team at Karma helped me reclaim my confidence and my stride. If you're in the Sandhills and need a place to recharge, I can't recommend Karma enough -- book ahead (they're popular for a reason) and treat yourself. I left glowing and grateful.

Well I followed my father's recommendation and last Saturday drove down from Southern Pines along…read morethe backroad of NC 5 to downtown Aberdeen to visit an "old-school barber shop that give straight razor shaves," or so said my father. Now if any man knows where to get a good deal in the Sandhills, it's that man so how could I resist. I enjoy the pleasures of man-themed pampering as much as the next guy (I think?) so I drug my willing girlfriend down to do a little shopping along the streets and shops of downtown aberdeen - on another note, if you haven't been to Aberdeen lately, you'd be surprised to find the quality of stores down there. That is for another review I guess. So I arrived and was greeted by some good ole boys and man they have a good thing going. First off there isn't a whole lot of competition because for no good reason that I can see men haven't been allowed to enjoy the good old barber shop experience. Until now that is. The owner is a young guy who knows what he is doing and may be in the running for my first regular grooming destination since I was a small child. The haircut was professional, the atmosphere is up and coming with what I'm sure will be a few hiccups but all in all this establishment deserves five stars for originality - albeit retro -, service, price and overall customer experience.' There may be other barbers in the area but this will be my stop next Saturday to get the weekly cut. I may go for the straight razor shave again just because it's a cool experience, who really cares that a gillette in my own hand will beat it out in terms of speed and accuracy but then again that isn't the point after all anyway.
