I have been going to Famous Hair for 8 years and don't normally have any issues. Today was a huge…read moreexception. My hair is thick, curly, and just long enough to reach my chest. I checked in and told the lady i wanted a shampoo and a trim. I waited a few minutes which was no problem. A different (never had before) hairstylist called me back to wash my hair. Then we proceed to her chair where I repeat my instructions: trim off the split ends. She asked if I wanted layers. I said yes, long layers and for my hair to continue to frame my face. She cut off about an inch. Then she stuck me under a dryer to "see if your hair needs more texturizing". Ok, sure I think she knows what she is doing. Continue back to the chair. She takes a flat iron to my head for some reason and before I realize it she cuts off more. She ignores all attempts I made to talk to her. She blow dries it finally. I told her it felt better and followed her to the register. I looked down in horror to find my hair is just longer than my shoulders now. I asked if my split ends were that long (my last hair cut was only a month prior). She says "Not anymore" and laughs at me. To make everything worse, she charged me $35.00 because I had "long hair". I have never been charged more than $20, no matter how long my hair is. Will not be going back for a long time or at least avoiding her in the future.
