Biting into each chunk was like a wonderful burst of flavor - really amazing job on these. Spaghetti (side) - Ah yes the Dominican spaghetti. If you want Italian pasta, this is not it, but it had a certain home-cooked charm and was a type of spaghetti I had not tasted before. It was creamy, tomato-ey, and buttery. The closest I can compare is that it had the texture of chef boyardee pasta, but the taste was much more smokey with hints of sweetness and umami. It was really filling and delicious!
