Café Genziana is tucked away on the road from Arabba to Corvara just off the side of the road (10…read moremetres) and so isn't that easy to find and often quiet. For this reason it is a great place to visit as you can take your book and while away the hours over a coffee, hot chocolate or something stronger. The place is spacious and very light so feels quite relaxing and in summer it has pleasant tables outside that you can sit at. The also produce their own chocolate bars in a whole variety of flavour, about 30 in all I think and although they aren't cheap it's worth a sample as a one off. The walnut dark chocolate is particularly good. The beer is also good here, Brinkhoffs as I remember and it's a good evening spot as they bring you nibbles along to the table as well.

The entrance is directly around the back of the café and hides what is quite a large shopping market. Inside they have all the usual dry goods, fridge items as well as some fruit and veg. They don't however do fresh meat so you'll have to pop to the butchers for that. It has a great selection of grappa though and they always have sample to try so take full advantage of that. The walnut and hazelnut varieties are very good. Keep an eye out for the Hitler and Mussolini labeled wine which is worth a chuckle. A good and well stocked spot and even had a New Zealander working there when I was last in which was strange (but nice.)
