The menu is awkwardly translated in english but it helps, and it is always appreciated when restaurants reach out to their non-french-speaking customers. According to the locals, the restaurant has some kind of connection with the butcher whose shop is right next door. As a consequence, the meat is always excellent. There is a nice terrace, service is polite, calm and efficient. It can get a little more expensive outside of this menu, but it seems worth it. Only negative aspect from my experience: since it's probably perceived as a somewhat pricey restaurant, the other customers were all at least 55 years old. I felt like I was the only customer who did not have grandchildren!

There's a big parking lot in front for customers and hotel guests, so that's very convenient. We got a table inside. Our Bulldog was welcome as well. It wasn't really busy on that weekday. Quite a surprise actually, because the lunch was nothing short of amazing! Service was excellent. We got taken care of very well and we felt welcome and at home. Had the mi-cuit Foie Gras for starter. A great item, flavourful, tender and really melts in your mouth. Did have some apples slices inside, that went very well together. For the mains the Beef Tartare and the seafood platter. There were shrimp, langoustines, 1/2 crab, whelks, winkles and of course oysters. Every single piece of seafood was amazing and amazingly fresh. Whelks and winkles are often the weakest part of a seafood platter. But here the quality was excellent. And the oysters some of the best we've ever had. For 52 Euros this was an amazing deal. The Tartare was really nicely done as well. Homemade Tartare, nice cuts - you could tell it was knife-cut and not just store bought. It was very enjoyable to eat the fresh and tasty chunks of meat. The excellent bottle of white wine went well with all the dishes. We did really have an amazing lunch here. Quality, service, presentation. All the very best. Highly recommended. Amazing experience in an unforgettable setting…read more Atmosphere/decor: Nearly identical to the black and white photos of yesteryear, this historic setting takes you back to a different time while holding an elegant and special vibe. The huge ceilings, original embossments and mouldings are gorgeous. The large windows provide a great view of the sea and boardwalk. Unfortunately it was a big humid and warm in the room but expectable with the style and culture of the place. Everyone gets seated with a view. Service: lovely old-school white glove experience. Attentive, professional, and polite. The servers have typical non-disturbing stance of European restaurants with the added attentiveness one expects of fine dining. Food: the 3-course meal was delicious and beautifully plated. Small but flavorful portions. The crab starter was one of the most gorgeous plantings I have ever seen. Unfortunately the taste was somewhat bland and did not accentuate the crab. Some might call it delicate but I think that would be a scapegoat. The lamb two ways was magnificent. I asked for medium rare and both pieces were amongst the best lamb I've had of my life. Savory, just ever so gamey, and delicates salted. The chocolate coconut dessert dish was to die for -- decadent but smooth and creamy on the tongue with a nice counterbalance or coconut flavors--coconut can often be too underwhelming or overwhelming and they balanced the presence perfectly. One of my companions had the sole (Prousts favorite) and said it was the best he'd ever had. Unfortunately the sole does not come on the 3-course menu option (understandably) and necessitates ordering other dishes separately/individually. The chariot of cheese (hah! Bravo!) allowed an unlimited amount nearly 15 local and regional cheeses. Drinks: Impressive menu of mostly French wines. Luckily a few options of by the glass purchase for those of us whose companies couldn't/don't drink. Cocktail list is nice as well as apertifs and digestifs. Pricing: the 3-course meal is a good deal in the 75-100 euro range. Drink pricing was expectable for the scale of the restaurant. Very reasonable pricing for such fine dining and service. $350 Euro for 4 people with only two of us having by the glass drinks. I recommend all try it who can and would absolutely return--even dine multiple times during a stay at the Grand Hotel if I could visit.
