I have been going here for years as La Moda has been consistently great over the years. I've never once had a bad haircut from here. Pro Mo treats his people and customers good and hires good talent. His new barber Jay gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had. 10/10 recommend this place if you're looking to walk away with a quality haircut. read more

I've been there a couple times now and here are my complaints. * they double book themselves and if you're the first one to the chair they will do everything in their power to get you off in 5 minutes * The website said my haircut would be $28, they charged me $40 because I needed "extra snips" * Today set me over the edge. The barber asked me what I wanted and as soon as I told him he walked away. Then he came back and started snipping away. And I walked out with a haircut I did not want. Additionally he did not stop me one to clarify what I wanted. * Lastly, the owner/ "pro", is way too full of himself. read more

Katlin always does a fantastic job with my fade and beard. La Moda is chill, highly recommend.

Horrible. You go in there and all he does is talk about himself. You tell him what you want and it's completely dismissed. You walk out of there paying $70 for a messed up haircut that you didn't ask for. At least you could always where a hat? Horrible. Never going back or sending any of my brothers or kids there again. I HIGHLY recommend scrolling to the bottom of this page and click on "73 Reviews Not Currently Recommended". read more

Moe knows how to cut, but he also knows how to overcharge. I walked out paying close to $70 for a cut. Been a handful of times to the shop and feel like its predatory towards the students at UT who may not be from the area. I pay on average 25-50% LESS in a bigger city than I do here. Worth the time to travel up to Detroit for a similar style of barber shop. If you don't mind the price, he's a good barber, but I stopped going here. read more

Worst Hair Cut of my entire life. I showed a picture of what I wanted and Moe totally disregarded it and did what he wanted. There is a chunk missing up on the side of my bangs he cut with clippers. half way through my haircut he got on his phone and talked to people cam back and then got in his phone again leaving me sit there for over 10 minutes and came out of a room and started to walk by me and said oh are you still here the laughed and started butchering my hair even more. If you want your hair cut right do not ever go there! Awful experience!! read more

Dylan was one of the best barbers I have gone to in a long time. In town only for the day I got recommended to go here, so glad I did cause this place was awesome. The environment, staff, and cuts were all what a barber experience should be like. As someone who travels a lot I rely on reviews or recommendations on where to go, and if you are in Toledo- check this place out. I'll be back next time in town. read more

Was in town for the holidays and badly needed a haircut. I easily booked an appointment online for the next day. When I got there, I realized they are normally closed on Sundays, but Pro Moe decided to stay open for the Holidays, which I realized was just one of the ways he excels at customer service. My haircut was exactly what I asked for, and he even took care of my unruly eyebrows and styled my hair afterwards, using nice products. The place is super well kept and Pro Moe is personable and friendly. I have found my go-to barber for anytime I am back in town! read more

ProMoe did a fantastic job on my boyfriends hair. He had never been to a real barber before, or even had a straight razor and wax. Moe really went above and beyond. He made us feel at home and put my nervous boyfriend at ease right away. He demonstrated products for us and made sure my boyfriend was happy with the results. We will definitely be returning. Bonus for me was the big loving teddy bear of a dog who kept me company in the shop while my boyfriend was in the chair. read more

I live in New York where barbers, like everyone else, face intense competition. This forces them to really step their game up. These guys have me a haircut better than anything I've gotten in New York. Could not recommend them more and look forward to my next visit read more

I CANNOT recommend this place more! Owner, Moe, is awesomely talented and always welcoming. I see Dylan and he's incredible. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment!!!! read more

Pro Moe always takes care of his customers! I'm in town for Fourth of July and swung by to get a cut and beard trim. I've never had a cut look so good! He took his time cleaning everything up and I felt pampered in the end! Super clean and a great atmosphere with great music and vibe. Schedule and appointment here, Pro Moe won't disappoint! read more

I wanted to get a fancy razor design, wasn't sure where to go. I asked around town and two other barbers recommended this place. Moe did a great job, and he's a really friendly guy too. I also got a hot towel shave with a straight razor, which I'd never experienced before, it was fun. read more

I even had trouble rating this a one-star; so basically it doesn't get any from me! DO NOT waste your hard earned money on a rip off low life at this barbershop! I can't speak for the other barbers that work out of here; I'm solely talking about the narcissistic "Pro-Moe". He's takes advantage, and preys on out of town folks'. I live here in Toledo, and I've heard that from others as well. I've had others have mixed feelings about going to him, and it's hit or miss. He completely whiffed on my appointment; For little work he charged me over $55+ for twenty minutes of bogus work. To start off he Didn't even wash my hair before we had started. #2 All my lines were crooked! #3 he didn't even use a straight razor as the package states; he used some buzzers that ended up cutting me a total of 4 times. I wouldn't be surprised if others have came in contact with MRSA from this crap hole. #4 Didn't receive the hott towel treatment either. All in all the crook ripped me off, and I'll be sure to never recommend going, and seeing "Pro-Moe"; the absolute worst barber with a certification in Toledo. I'd rather go to a great clips than ever go to him again, and we all know what you can expect from those chains hair dressers. I had to pay another $40 for the other barber to fix mistakes, and give me the treatment his packages offer! read more

Well the haircut was a good one. The owner knows how to be a true barber. But the experience during the cut and shave was way less than enjoyable. He told me about how he was from New York and why he was here but then just kept telling me how bad it was here in Toledo. Then he proceeded to tell me he wants to find more barbers but only black people show up wanting jobs and he doesnt want them working there. Great cut if you can get past the banter. read more

I just moved here from Brooklyn where a young fellow named Mark at Georges 2 has been cutting my hair for about two years. He was awesome. He was one of the top reasons I was going to miss my little corner of Brooklyn. I've been in town for about 7 weeks, and I arrived here in need of a haircut. Those of you familiar with math and the grooming regimens of a gentleman will appreciate that this means I have needed approximately THREE haircuts in my short time here. I struck out not once, but twice with other local barbers before I cleared the outfield wall on my visit to La Moda. Stephen (or is it Steven? or did I completely forget his name and I'm a jerk?) listened to what I needed, acknowledged and corrected what had gone terribly wrong in my last two cuts, and set me up right. I'll be back in three weeks, fellas, but in the interim, let's everybody chant along with me: What do I want? A skillful and neat gentlemen's cut for an affordable price! When do I want it? Pretty much every three weeks depending on my schedule! Out. read more

If u live in Norfolk and are not getting your haircut at this spot, something is wrong with u! I travel for a living. Found this place on yelp so I checked it out. Met the owner Moe who also cut my hair. Great dude better hair stylist! Very impressed. When I am in town I will be going to see Moe. Best spot in town. read more

Moe is a wizard with the scissors! Awesome atmosphere and a great cut. I will definitely be back!

My dude. Hooked me up with the best fade in Toledo. Took care of me fore sure. Went above and beyond for me and my style needs. Even gave some good advice on growing my beard in thicker and fuller. Definitely have a customer for life. read more

La Moda was a class act. In from Chicago, I was in a pinch for a quick haircut (walked in). Upon walking in, the atmosphere was very laid back and was asked if I needed anything to drink. Luis gave me a solid cut. It came with a wash and dry (along with a machine foot massage). After the cut was over, the owner Moe finished off the cut very well. Not to mention I was offered some hair products that work well for my hair and one was complimentary. Should ever be in town again, I'll be sure to make sure I plan to get a cut. read more

Out of towner, in town for a wedding- in need an hair cut and a major beard repair. Moe was able to squeeze me into Pedro's schedule, on a Friday afternoon mind you. Showed Pedro a picture of a previous haircut and lineup, he asked the right questions and had me looking like a million bucks. Very thorough with his work, but was still able to make conversation. Not sure if I'll ever be back in the area, but would def return to this shop if I am. Definitely recommend to all locals and those in need of a haircut and/or bread trim. Great looking shop and atmosphere as well. read more

Very friendly staff and owner. They helped my younger brother feel comfortable and did a great job w/cut and beard trim.

Good people here and everyone complemented me on the good lines and unique cut. I don't like the hot towel, but some may.

Shout out to Dylan who gave me the best haircut I've had in years! I have stiff asian hair and he knew exactly how to work with it. He kept me at ease while cutting my hair and easily perfected the style I wanted. He's very professional and outgoing. While appointment slots appear limited at this time (from the pandemic), I will certainly be a returning customer. read more

I had three appointments cancelled without explanation and was advised I was unable to reschedule them. I believe I know exactly why they won't accept me as a client and I hope their business suffers due to those particular opinions. I've found a great barber at Cutting Edge, I would highly recommend them instead. read more

Best cut in NW Ohio. I drive down from Ann Arbor to get cut with Moe. I won't go anywhere else, always worth the trip.

I just moved to Toledo from Chicago, and one of my first priorities was to find a good barber. After some searching on yelp, I found La Moda and decided to try it out this weekend. I was easily able to book an appointment online with Moe, who I believe is owner and head barber. The dude is cool AF and did an impeccable job on my hair. Moe listened to what I wanted for a cut and customized it even better than I pictured. The cut was affordable and this location is legit. Id give it a 6 star rating if I could. I'll be back! Thanks Moe! read more

If you're looking for a a great haircut and beard trim, look no further. I just moved to Toledo and was nervous about finding a good barber. Heard from friends and through yelp that if you care about your hair, this is the only place to go. They weren't kidding. I came in for a walk in Friday evening, they were packed but Moe still fit me in pretty quickly. I've never felt so comfortable in the hands of a barber. This is not a haircut, it's a work of art. Hands down one of the best cuts I've had in years. Shout out to La Moda and Moe. I'll be back in two weeks. read more

I usually go to am older barber and am in and out in 15 mins with 10 bucks outta my pocket. I decided to try a new place and I'll tell you I'm not at all disappointed. This guy is a master and I will be going back everytime. I got a cut and hot shave and for the price, the cut and the treatment I received was well worth jt. It's a nice environment and a pleasant barber experience. read more

This is the first place that I've been to, since moving back to Toledo, that I really like. The last 12 years the same person has been cutting my hair in Seattle - so you can imagine the "holy shit, what am I going to do?" moment when it came time to find someone new. I hit a few barbers in the area but wasn't very satisfied... then I found these guys. Both Moe and Stephen have cut my hair and both do a fantastic job. The shop is always clean, genuinely nice and personable people in it, and always a great vibe. Atmosphere + quality haircut + reasonable pricing = lifetime customer. Be back in 3 weeks, guys. read more

Hands down the best experience I've had getting a haircut. The professionalism shown from both Moe and Dylan makes the environment around you a great experience. Then the time they take on your head makes you feel they genuinely care about the way you look. will be back read more

This place is just absolutely great! I have been worked on by both Steven and Moe. Lately I have been having Moe take care of my weekly visits. I shave my head in summer so don't need haircuts but for me that means my beard has to look perfect since it stands out with this look. Moe is just great. Gets me in and out quickly and is a master of the straight razor. I never have to tell him what I want. Been there enough that he just knows. This place has become a weekly event that I very much look forward to. Oh and as we get into fall and thru winter I do have Moe take care of my haircuts as well! Just a great place. I send everyone that asks to this shop! Try it! You'll love it! read more

la Moda is a great barber shop for All types of hair. My son left with a crispy clean fade. The guys here were cool as all get out! Will be back again for sure. Thanks La Moda! read more

I had never been here but was recommended by a few friends to go for a haircut. I looked here on yelp and noticed a ton of good reviews and the 5 star rating so I figured I'd give it a shot and I was right across the street having dinner at the time so it seemed like an ideal place to go. I walk in and am greeted with handshakes and told to sign a sheet and then I would be called upon for a haircut. The inside decor wasn't really my vibe but it was unique and I like that they wanted to give their shop a personality. I'm called to get my haircut and I have a photo of a haircut/look that I wanted/was going for and he sees and says sure thing and recommends a size clipper for the sides and I agree and he starts the cut. He is moving extremely fast which is fine but I'm not really able to get a good view of what he's doing until he starts cutting the top and everything seems fine until he starts to put product in my hair and styles it a way I didn't ask for, nor did it remotely resemble the picture I showed. The style I asked for just had natural curls, I got a slicked back gents style. My hair was left way longer on top than what I wanted but he had already put a bunch of product in my hair so I felt that I couldn't ask him to cut and shape it like how I had asked and just felt weird and embarrassed about it. Maybe he could have at least said he didn't do that style or something? Instead just assuming I wanted this "gent style" haircut. Maybe this is the only kinds of men cuts they give here and I should have known that before coming? I don't really know. He gave the guy before me the exact same haircut. When I got home I washed all the product out and thought maybe it would look ok being dry and natural but was cut in a way to support this gent style. The back line of my neck was also crooked. So I had to cut and shape it more like how I wanted. Luckily my hair is curly so was able to make it look better and more of what I wanted as the sides where cut fine. I won't go here to get a haircut again but I am giving 2 stars because I thought the service was friendly. read more

This place is great. I was visiting from out of town and wandered in after normal business hours. They had no problem giving me a great fade and beard cut. Fantastic service. Everyone was extremely friendly and knew exactly what they were doing. I couldn't recommend this place more to Toledoans. This is a level of service and quality I've never had, even at home in San Diego. They carry great locally-made products as well. read more

I just moved home from Cali and hadn't gotten a good cut until I went to La Moda. Very hip and relaxing environment, but more importantly my hair hair turned out great. I showed Stephen a picture and within 15 minutes the cut was spot on. He was fast, cool as hell, and explained the cut to me while doing it. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Definitely my new barber shop. Great work guys! read more
