Omg this place is amazing! The inside is brightly decorated and beautiful and makes you happy with the scents and scenery as soon as you walk in. I got the churro sundae with Oreo ice cream, chocolate syrup, and Oreo crumble. OMG the best desert! I could not get enough. They make the churros fresh in front of you. OK, so I came here because I saw a few pictures on insta of this obnoxous crazt corn dish. I literally had to prepare for it by going to the gym and climbing avout 2000 steps on the stair climber in order to fully be hungry for and enjoy the monstrocity. So, it isn't on the menu. It is called The Corn Paradise. It entails spicy ramen noodles, spicy mexican chips or doritos or whatever you choose, then that is topped with cooked corn, mayo, sour cream, butter!, mexican shredded cheese, chili powder, hot sauce, lime juice, as well as a corn on a cob shoved in the ramen bowl that is also covered in mayo, the cheese, and hot sauces. Freaking amazing!!! Spicy. Filling. Good! The place is known for their ice creams and treats, but just be aware you can enjoy your cheat day by enjoying this dish if you like as well. overly disappointed. been going here since i was in middle school. I hadn't been there in a minute but really craving dubai strawberries. When it first came out on the menu It was so rich in flavor with chocolate and pistachio cream. Today when I went , the girl had the worst attitude , like she didn't even want to be there. I ordered my strawberries. Katiffi was dry . Barely any chocolate on them. every bite was just straight strawberries . That shouldn't be worth $18. Got the fresas con crema (strawberries with sweet cream, strawberry syrup, & topped with whipped cream) & it was refreshing & delicious. One of those not-too-guilty desserts as it was fresh strawberries! Get a straw to sip the cream as you eat the strawberries as drinking all that delicious sweet cream at the end may not be for everyone. I knew I smelled churros the second I walked in, but I didn't see any. I ordered a set of 4 for $5 which were made FRESH! They were thick and perfectly warm with a crunchy outside & soft fluffy inside. (My bro and I already snacked on some churros before we got home & packaged the rest for later, but they come in a paper tray.) i'm so glad La Michoacána is open!!! i have never been to one before (being from the bay area, California i'm not sure if we have them!) but my boyfriend's aunt told us we have to go. he's been here before but it was my first time. two days ago we went to one location and only had paletas (i had the spicy mango and it was BOMB), and tonight we came to this location because i liked it so much and one of the employees suggested the mangonada! i was originally going to go with the piña-nada mainly because of the fact they put it all in a pineapple, but honestly i'm SO glad she suggested the mangonada. this is officially my #1 favorite treat. ever. obsessed. my boyfriend and i shared a large mangonada with the spicy mango paleta, and my friend got the fresas con crema. we were so satisfied with our orders. i was doing the happy dance the entire time i was eating mine at the table outside. the mango tasted perfectly ripe, and the tamarind candy on the straw plus the chamoy and tajin... MY GOD. it was immaculate. right after we were about to finish there were two other girls who went in and ordered three mangonadas! i can definitely see why La Michoacána is so popular. if you ever pass one of their locations, you HAVE to get either the spicy mango paleta or the mangonada! and spread the word. they deserve all the business they get. so good. i'm still raving about it lol. huge thank you to the two employees who served us! they were super nice and helpful :) PS i'm probably going to come back as many times as possible. it's going to be hard for me to get anything else on the menu but i'm so excited to try their other treats! read more

We went in on a Friday night with 3 kids, there were people in there but it wasn't packed. They have a pretty big selection so the kids were taking a few minutes to decide. The employee helping us was definitely aggravated they took a few minutes which really aggravated me. They're kids, they're indecisive. I'm an adult and I'm indecisive sometimes! Anyway, there was a language barrier, she couldn't understand anything I said. I know a little Spanish so I tried to use what I know and point but it wasn't working so I asked for a different employee but they all just looked at me. Finally after about 10 minutes we got ice cream, they all just picked something. My daughter got Cookie Monster which didn't have a good flavor, my oldest son got Nutella which was pretty good, and my youngest got the Superman which also wasn't good but made the biggest mess. It stained everything (more than like a snowball would do for reference). It wasn't very clean when we got there, all the tables were dirty and the silverware station had trash everywhere. Overall we all left disappointed because we had this on our list of things to try for a while. Sure hope they pull it together! Overall we paid $30 for ice cream that was mostly thrown away, we wouldn't revisit. read more

I love La Michoacana. I visited back home in Los Angeles recently and was so happy to visit the one in Kenner. I've also been to the one on David Dr. in Metairie and it is just a satisfying. I ordered the Mangonada and it is a definite treat. There all all sorts of flavors and textures mixed in. Cold, spicy, fruity, sweet. It is just an entire mood in all of it awesomeness. Each time I visit, I always get the same thing because it is so delicious but I always say I'm going to try something else next time. Maybe I really will...next time. They have an assortment of different things so if you haven't been, you need to hurry over and discover your favorite. I tasted the rum raisin & ordered the pistachio which was good. I initially ordered a Lolli-Waffle (waffle on a stick with toppings) but they were out of it ;(. My daughter had some snacks like Doritos with a special topping that includes corn & mayonnaise & cheese mixture, she liked it, I didn't. She also something similar in a cup (pictured). Can I just start off by saying yummm! Where has this place been all my life! Before checking this place out on a random Sunday night of course I had to stalk their Instagram. They had so many delicious options BUT I was craving something with strawberries. Decided on the strawberries and cream paleta! So delicious, so fresh, so creamy. We also ended up getting the bubble waffle cone with the Cookie Monster ice cream. This was still just as good!
