The owners are your servers and are absolutely lovely and so friendly. Having come here almost every night for cocktails, we decided we would come on our last evening here and try the food. I ordered a homemade margarita pizza and it was absolutely amazing. I'm not a huge pizza fan but it was better than most of the food I've had in the area all week. Very impressed overall with this place and will definitely be revisiting when I come back.

With no English menu present, this is definitely a spot to hit up if you're in the mood to try something new & adventurous without knowing exactly what you ordered :) Came here twice during my super short stay in Ibiza (it was that goooood!) and both times = fantastic. The staff here is friendly and even with their limited English, they are able to help recommend typical / popular tapa dishes if you don't know what to order. There is no paper menu, so look at the boards on the wall for the food options. If you reallllly don't know what to order and not that hungry, simply grab your plate, go up to the bar, and pick up the finger sandwiches (roughly 1-2 euro/ piece). Prices for the food here is fair and reasonable and overall, here are my top recommendations for food: -Secreto Iberico: OMG, THIS DISH IS KILLLERRRRRR GOOOOOD. Yaaaas, I don't know what the sauce is but it's so damn delicious when you dip the crispy iberico ham in it (ham texture is similar to the crispy pork you eat at Korean places) -Callos: If you like tripe, go for this dish. Ahhhh, so yum yum with the different types of tripes used -Ensalada Escabeche con pollo: If you like something on the healthier side, order this badass salad. All of my guy friends thoroughly enjoyed this dish so.....that says a ton :) The sauce used with this dish is amazing Other random things to note: Seats - when you come in, simply sit wherever. -Splitting the bill: If you're in a group and would like to split the bill, let your server know before hand. If the place gets too packed, help your server out by stating how much each person is going pay and hand the server your card/money. -Apparently, this place is also a wine bar C: .....Definitely will visit again the next time I'm here Aiii. El Zaguan has an option where you can simply take small food items from server's trays as they walk around, and keep the toothpick from it as a token. When you've had your fill, they count your toothpicks and charge you for each one you've taken, and it's very reasonable! We were a table for two and the hostess went and grabbed a misfit table and put it in the alley around the corner from the restaurant. we ask for a table right in front of the entrance of the restaurant and she said those tables were for four people. (there were three tables at that point with four chairs and two people sitting at each table.). She would not sit us at those tables and implied that there was a reservation for them. we cancel the reservation and walked to the next restaurant up the street. Those tables were empty for over an hour. Around an hour later eight people walked up and they w had moves tables together. It was clear there was never a reservation for those tables. if you are a couple and want to eat at this restaurant, there are only two tables for two people. don't waste your time trying to sit there. 2 hours later there were still 2 tables empty. Found this place quite by accident but it was within a walking distance of the hotel which was nice. Tapas was great. Not fancy and overly inventive but very well prepared with a good flair and flavor. Bravissimas, Pulpo, Carrillada de cerdo just to name a few. A nice Albarno to go along and you've quite quite an experience all within the Valencia's old city.

Reservations are required…read more The sittings are timed but sufficient to allow for one to enjoy the varied and tapas style cuisine. We could only get two stools at the bar which might likely have suited a more romantic and younger couple. Despite this setback due to a previous day in-person last minute reservation the food and ambiance was excellent. Must say despite the frantic activity the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. Our shared dishes were Grilled Sardines, Black Sausage (the best we've ever tasted), Cod Croquettes (nothing exceptional), Pimentos de Padron & Salad. The wine by the glass was good bit I'd skip the local region French style overly expensive Sauvignon Blanc and stick to Verdejo or other Spanish wines on offer. This is not a restaurant for a relaxing or a laid back evening. I don't think the servers feet ever touch the ground and the kitchen must be volcanic! Great value and well worth a one-off experience. Our meal €64.35 for 2 and like many tourists was rounded up to $65.00. We might be tempted to return but definitely only to sit at a table.
