Honestly, the star for me was the French Onion Soup--or as they call it here, onion soup. (Unavoidable dad joke. For that matter, it was a Nice Onion Soup! )
The soup's worth trying even on a hot June day. I'd gotten far too used to cheap imitations from Panera bread and the like. I literally don't think I can go back to those. It was so good. Creme brulee was similarly complex and delicious.
It seems like most everything was good there though.
Except, for me, the salmon on black rice with coconut curry was just OK. But it was probably a poor entree choice for me because I have those elements (salmon, black rice, coconut curry) all the time. Tough critic maybe.
